BERLIN, May 28 (Reuters) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said an "active worldwide
network of Zionists" was trying to prevent his possible trip to Germany for the World Cup
and expressed new doubts over whether the Holocaust happened.

In an interview with Der Spiegel magazine, Ahmadinejad also said he doubted Germans were
allowed to write "the truth" about the Holocaust and said if Nazi murder of European Jews
really happened, Jews should be moved from Israel back to Europe.

"We say if the Holocaust happened, then the Europeans must accept the consequences and
the price should not be paid by Palestine," he said in a rare interview with Western media
that was published on Sunday. "If it did not happen, then the Jews must return to where they
came from.

"I believe the German people are prisoners of the Holocaust. More than 60 million were killed
in World War Two ... The question is: Why is it that only Jews are at the centre of
attention?"

1. Of course, lost in all the "Holocaust denial" rhetoric is the question:

Why DO the Palestinian people have to pay for the horrible crimes of the German (and American) Fascists who used the scapegoating of the Jewish people as a way of gaining power?

discussion about the Roman moving most Jews out from their home?

Sounds like a discussion of conflicting "right of return" - perhaps negotiation is called for?

3. The Palestinian people don't have to pay for the crimes of anyone

as Israel will accept a two state solution. Will Hamas???

Most of the Palestinian people realize that is the only viable solution, Hamas and the radical factions seem to be on a different page.

BTW, you forgot the British Fascists in your ill informed rant.

you might even find some very close by.

zionists (jews,whatever) are civilizations scapegoat because there are so few. i try to take things with a grain of salt. the haters are ignorant.....we should pity them.

Iran has mostly been very innocent in recent history in regards to International Law; the only thing Bush can do to make a case for attacking Iran is use this man's rhetoric.

Someone shut this guy up or get him a PR agent!
