From my Journal: Mom's note of appreciation for this week goes to...

Retiring Knight Ridder war correspondent, Joe Galloway

"Someone once asked me if I had learned anything from going to war so many times. My reply: 'Yes, I learned how to cry.'"

MOM'S YOU-SHOULD-BE-ASHAMED-OF-YOURSELF PRIZE FOR THIS WEEK GOES TO:

Reporter Patrick Healy for his out-of-the-blue "news" story, "For Clintons, Delicate Dance of Married and Public Lives" (and to the New York Times for running the story on page-one, above the fold); Washington Post columnist David Broder for his column in response, "The Shadow of a Marriage"; and MSNBC's Chris Matthews for making the Clinton marriage inexplicably the story of the week. All should be ashamed of themselves for an early signal that yet again an American Presidential campaign will be powered by bizarre, tabloid-like stories aimed at Democrats, instead of by issues of importance to our country.

(A FURTHER NOTE: My journal, FYI, is aimed outside DU, and is "suitable" for your mother, your grandmother, and any "moderate" friends who need information and enlightenment about what's really going on, and aren't getting it from the MSM.)

1. I was thinking the very same thing this AM watching "Tweety"
What a bunch of GARBAGE!! Too bad they don't have "fair and balanced news"!! If they did, they would have also talked about george and laura's marital problems, (current, not in the future tense like they are trying to make us believe Bill and Hillary's "what ifs"? ) Of course this was printed in a "rag paper", so it doesn't compare to above the fold, front page of the NY Times!!:sarcasm: Kicked and Recommended!!!
