seriously, I spent 10 years in a dead, loveless marriage and it damned near killed me. I hope he's going through even half the hell I did. But he probably isn't, not having a soul and all.

She lives in Pheonix, near my older sister, while I live in Toronto.

My sister told me months ago that my mother 'loses her words' in conversation - has to be 'prompted' from time to time with the correct word she's looking for. My sister was really worried about it.

I had a phone conversation with Mom a week after that, and the talk turned to politics. As I told my sister later, "Just get her on the topic of Bush -- there's NO loss of words there."

And there wasn't. Mom ranted about what an idiot he was for about four minutes straight, and never missed a word.

She's 75 and can't stand Bush. She lives in Phoenix too, as do I.
Sometimes having trouble finding the word is a normal part of aging. You worry when they don't know the word...for example forgetting the word "key", and instead saying "that thing that unlocks the door." It sounds like if you keep the topic on politics, she'll do just fine. :-)

Whatever the calamity, she blames Bush. Earthquakes? Stock market going down? She simply says, "I blame it all on Bush!" I love it!

That is a massive amount of stuff atop his left shoulder.

You might be correct!

Maybe it was the shock of expecting Laura in all of the photos. But when I saw Condi in that last shot, I had one of those feelings like being on a roller coaster. My stomach kind of dropped out. And then it hit me. I predict George Bush divorces Laura and retreats to his bunker with Condi as his mistress, where they hunker down with a bottle of Moet Chandon and the nuclear football.

people chime in. raisin brain also invades personal space - hence his arm on kindasleazy. He can 'control' her w/ his arm there. How long has it been since he has done this w/ pickles? She frequently catches up 2 him 2 take his arm; then he looks around wondering if anyone noticed he left her in the dust. In the 1st picture she looks like she is off balance - look on her face, both arms outstretched to steady herself.

Here's a picture of * with Pickles and his parents coming out of a church earlier this month. He just struts down the stairs and doesn't offer his arm to his wife or elderly mom. He certainly isn't a gentleman. Except maybe around Condi. :eyes:
