DON'T MISS THIS, ESPECIALLY IF YOU KNOW A MUSICIAN WANTING PUBLICITY
Edited on Sun May-28-06 07:25 PM by Jeffersons Ghost
This may be the most powerful media you've ever heard

The Peace Jukebox plays hours of anti-war music for free. Songs written during the Bush Presidency can be heard as high-quality MP3s, with lyrics, on this ad-free independent website. The Peace Jukebox features anti-war songs by Sonic Youth, Beastie Boys, Jurassic 5, Public Enemy, Jane's Addiction, The Cure, Ani DiFranco, Black Eyed Peas, Green Day, Faithless, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Lenny Kravitz, Paris, System of a Down, Propagandhi, Banco de Gaia, Zach de la Rocha, Noam Chomsky... hiphop, rock, punk, acoustic, classical and spoken word.

This is fast becoming the most prolific period of protest song-writing in history, as home-studio technology makes it possible for the world to hear hot new radical songs Clear-Channel will not play. The Peace Not War Music Project recently received over 500 anti-war songs from several different kinds of musicians, and they claim "ALL" of them will go online. Will you help in this effort?

your cell phone, your wallet
your time, your ideas
no bar code, no party
no ID, no beers
your bankcard, your licence
your thoughts, your fears
no SIM card, no disco
no photo? not here!
your blood, your sweat
your passions, your regrets
your profits, your time off
your fashions, your sex
your pills, your grass
your tits, your ass
your laughs, your balls
we want it all
we want your soul
your cash, your house
your phone, your life
we want your sou
tell us your habits
your fads, your fears
give us your address
your shoe size, your years
your digits, your plans
your number, your eyes
your schedule, your desktop
your details, your life
show us, your children
your photos, your home
here! take credit
take insurance, take a loan
get a job, get a pension
get a hair cut, get a suit
play the lottery, play football
play the field, snort some toot
we'll show you shrinks
we'll show you spooks
we'll buy you drinks
throw away your books
we'll sell you crap
we'll charge you tax
wanna buy big guns?
we'll front the cash
we want your soul
your cash, your house
your phone, your life
we want your soul
your thoughts, your emotions
your love, your dreams
your chequebook
your essence, your sweat
your screams
your security, your sobriety
your innocence, your society
your self, your place
your distance, your space

4. LENNY KRAVITZ IS GREAT!

Come on people
It's time to get together
It's time for the revolution!

Here is once again in our face
Why haven't we learn from our past
We're at the crossroads of our human race
Why are we kicking our own ass

We want peace
We want it yes
We want peace
We want it yes
We want peace
And We want it fast

We want peace
We want it yes
We want peace
We want it yes
We want peace
And We want it fast

We're on the eve of destruction my friends
We are about to go to far
Politicians think that war is the way
But we know that love has the power

We want peace
We want it yes
We want peace
We want it yes
We want peace
And We want it fast

We want peace
We want it yes
We want peace
We want it yes
We want peace
And We want it fast

The solution is simple and fame
There won't be peace if we don't try
In a war there is nothing to gain
When so many people will die

We want peace
We want it yes
We want peace
We want it yes
We want peace
And We want it fast

We want peace
We want it yes
We want peace
We want it yes
We want peace
And We want it fast

LENNY KRAVITZ
WE WANT PEACE

25. I'm loving it!
Here's a great one:

OUT OF THE CLEAR BLUE SKY

when i was a young man
so many troubles seemed to come my way
i didn't see that i sowed the seeds of my anger
and they grew a little every day
always a battle for my ways
and always someone else to blame
so many enemies
but never did i wonder from whence they came
i never stopped to look inside
to see if i held the reason why
the world was coming at me
from out of the clear blue sky
now comes a time
when my country's also come of age
a hell hit the homeland
and everyone is rightfully filled with rage
the president's pointing his finger
and from the pulpit i heard him say
we're one nation under God
and by God we're gonna get them back one day
with no admission to reasons why
he placed all the blame on another side
and said the evil one came at us from
out of the clear blue sky
call me a traitor
say i'm a coward not a patriot
well i know we had to strike back
i just don't think we've planned the hardest battle yet
how many fights for freedom
will we wage while the peace is denied
and is that peace just a prayer we make on Sundays
and hope that God to bless upon us
from out of the clear blue sky
they were crazy
they were evil and they were wrong
but all the weak take a desperate measure
when they're backed into the corner by a foe too strong
my brother my sister
my countrymen and my friend
i think we've also got to take a hard look at ourselves
if we want to keep this from happening again
if we search beyond our pride
perhaps we'll find an answer that has long been denied
and peace will reign upon us
from out of the clear blue sky

6. NO KIDDING IT'S LIKE A GOLD MINE!
check these lyrics out!

they gotta war for oil, a war for gold
a war for money and a war for souls
a war on terror, a war on drugs
a war on kindness, a war on hugs
a war on birds and a war on bees
they gotta war on hippies tryin'a save the trees
a war with jets and a war with missiles
a war with high-seated government officials
Wall Street war on high finance
a war on people who just love to dance
a war on music, a war on speech
a war on teachers and the things they teach
a war for the last 500 years
war's just messin' up the atmosphere
a war on Muslims, a war on Jews
a war on Christians and Hindus
a whole lotta people sayin' kill them all
they gotta war on Mumia Abu Jamal
the war on pot is a war that's failed
a war that's fillin' up the nation's jails
world war one, two, three and four
chemical weapons, biological war
Bush war 1 and Bush war 2
they gotta war for me, they gotta war for you
we can't stop it when the beat just drops
we can't stop it with the rebel rock
we can't stop until we hit those heights
we can't stop because we love this life
dance to the new day and we don't stop
sing to the new day, rhyme to the new day
transform hell into heaven God lives through
grab hold of today
yesterday is over, tomorrow may be too late
everything is one but the one is off balance
music made for the dollar like soul and talent
really ain't it all about a feeling you was havin'
as a child runnin' wild
before the mind programmin' set in
threatenin' your establishment
get in this energy, lay back and sit
the next men wreckin', to the master's lips
head spin brethren, get to askin' if
where, when, Mr President, 'what do you know?'
it's evident settin' in slow, 'how does it go?'
an unprecedent event is about to unfold
the devil can't stop
won't stop blockin' the globe
fall in a call here
freedom come knock at the door
they try lockin' it though, but we about to explode
we got the firefly, tiger eye apocalypse flow
so deep in the bottom of your bottomless soul
send mind darts flyin' out, without a pistol
redesign lost minds got outta the cold
bring order to a world that is outta control 'truth' you say
i say 'how do i know?'
i wanna rock with punks because i love punk rock
i wanna rock with heads because i love hip hop
i wanna rock my beats all around the block
if i was in Baghdad then i would rock Iraq
i wanna rock with punks because i love punk rock
i wanna rock with heads because i love hip hop
i wanna rock my beats all around the block
there is just one love so the planet we rock
new world days and new world nights
new world wrongs and new world rights
putting new world funds in the new world banks
with the new world guns on the new world tanks
new world Devils and new world Gods
new world jails see the new world's hard
new world names sing new world songs
new world planes are the new world bombs
new world's fying, the new world's dying
the new world's crying and the new world's trying
new world sons and new world daughters
they're already selling us new world water
new world beats for the new world to bang
new world streets for the new world to hang
new world president, new world drugs
new world resident, new world thugs
new world players for new sports
new world trials for new world courts
new world lawyers and new world laws
new world prisons and the new world bars
new world fight the new world's fists
the new world lighting up the new world spliffs
new world smoke in the new world lungs
new world's choking, the new world's done

10. oh yeah! IT ROCKS TOO
not just Rap but damn good Rock going down at "CD Vol. 2 CHORDS"

sons and daughters of a dream
the urge to struggle for an ideal
to stay and fight, oppose war fever, refuse to kill or be killed
there's voices calling in the wind: power to the peaceful! let's go!
with a readiness for war, they come down hard on dissent of all forms
blood and militarism has swept the country by storm
there's voices calling in the wind: power to the peaceful!
this is not a war of the urging people
this is not a war of economic independence
it's a war for conquest, it's a war for military power
it's a war for money, the road to universal slaughter
shout to the peaceful
there's repression and intolerance on any deviation from the norm
in all factions of your life, at this time of entry into war
say hey-hey do you know what to sing?
say hey-hey yeah you know what to sing: power to the peaceful!

9. Phil Ochs Fans?
Hi All,

Just joined DU and am having a bit of a challenge trying to post to various forums or sending messages to particular people because of rules I haven't quite figured out yet. Anyway, any Phil Ochs fans out there? I'd be happy to hear from any of you, particularly "DoYouEverWonder," at japanimatic@hotmail.com

Thanks a lot and thanks for the interesting music link!

11. Hi and welcome to DU
You have to contribute to DU and get a star before you can post to some areas of DU. Be very careful of posting your email addy on any site on the internet because spam bots will fill your box with all kinds of garbage.
Just saying.

12. Yeah, watch handing out the email addy in open forum and WELCOME TO DU
check these songs out: 2 very cool hard rock numbers and a soulful ballad.
ships were gathering in the sea
war was in the air and all the stocks were high
all the analysts said that little weak country
they'll never make it, no
they're not civilized, they've got nothing, they're all alone
well they reached out for a hand and there was no one there
and they wondered why nobody cared
back home sitting round in a hazy dream
i was watching my favorite stars on TV
as i picked out my clothes, as i was out at shows
their bodies were getting tossed into holes
my brothers and friends, piling up like trash
and no one knows as leaders cover their tracks
with their Christian smiles and their bullshit facts
is it out of line for me to ask why
that American dream we're dying for
is off killing the defenceless, weak and the poor
raising voices, bloody choices
free and wild and young and boisterous
dripping out of organs roasting
in the desert sun and boasting
greatest, highest mighty bias
reaching out with leaps in science
over oceans blowing holes in houses
splitting children open
clouds all around our ears, thoughts controlled
my talking heads and sinking fear
hearts all pale and cold
holding little head eyes closing
little mouth was wide and opening
urine stains it left with hoping
bloody brains all leaked out soaking
mother's things and dad's opinions
tv screens all static mindless talking
red and violent, hid in silence
burning tears, eyes crying
quiet all the guns and gears
peaceful, sweet sounds
hide under the blasts and cheers to save us all

BRAD POSTLETHWAITE
"Welcome to the Occupation"

Wadia's best friend's youngest sister was denied a decent burial
because for two days they couldn't douse the flames
the allied planes had showered on her tiny body
and all the paper trails that lead to all the roads
that lead to all these Basras make it seem like
we're all just "collateral damage" waiting to be happening
in some unforeseen fucking Pentagon budget-drill
today's Ba'ath regime is just the red scare of yesteryear
and i drink myself to sleep because i'm losing faith
that any of us will ever amount to anything more
than reluctant human subsidies
the moving parts in a death-machine, protesting their complicity
but waiting for somebody else
to throw their body on the churning gears
i drink myself to sleep because i'm losing faith that we,
we here in the cradle of affluence
can cease our sickening drive for individual strength
through state-powers swinging fists
or that we'll ever look back and laugh at the irony that is:
an atomic murderer is enshrined in Independence, USA
while 8000 miles from here (in the cradle of democracy)
it's another banner year for a cottage industry
a ritual at the corner of George and Constantine
as foundries scramble to recast his decapitated monument

PROPAGANDHI
"Albright Monument, Baghdad"

Here's a real strong number:

more and more there is this animal looking out through my eyes
at all the traffic on the road to nowhere
at all the shiny stuff around to buy
at all the wires in the air
at all the people shopping for the same blank stare
at America the drastic, that isolated geographic
that's become infested with millionaires
and i think when you grow up surrounded by wilful ignorance
you have to believe that mercy has its own country
and that it's round and borderless
and then you just grow wings and rise above it all
like there, where that hawk is circling above that strip mall
more and more there is this animal looking out through my eyes
seeing that animals only take from this world
what they need to survive
but she is prowling through all the religions of men
seeing that time and time and time again
their Gods have made them
special and above nature's law and the respect thereof
and i think when you grow up surrounded by wilful ignorance
you have to believe that mercy has its own country
and that it's round and borderless
and then you have to grow wings and rise above it all
like there where that hawk is circling above that strip mall
ask any eco-system
harm here is harm there and there and there
and aggression begets aggression
it's a very simple lesson
that long preceded that king of heaven
and there's this brutal imperial power
that my passport says i represent
but it will never represent where my heart lives
only vaguely where it went
cuz i know when you grow up surrounded by wilful ignorance
you have to believe that mercy has its own country
and that it's round and borderless
and then you just grow wings and rise above it all
like there where that hawk is circling above that strip mall

Edited on Sun May-28-06 08:27 PM by Jeffersons Ghost
HAMELL ON TRIAL
God called down from the mountain
God called down from the sky and he said:
i told you, i told you, i told you
don't kill, don't kill, don't kill
don't kill for lovin', please don't kill for hate
don't kill in my name, don't kill for heaven's sakes
don't kill, don't kill, don't kill
once again you didn't understand me
you disobeyed from all i can detect
from what i remember i did more than ask you
i commanded it, from what i recollect
thou shalt, thou shalt
what part of "thou shalt not kill" don't you understand?
was it the "thou" part that threw you? "thou" means "you"
was it the "shalt not" part that confused you?
"shalt not" means "don't"
don't kill, don't kill, don't kill
there are no divinely sanctioned murders
who'd know better than me?
i'm God, how come you don't hear me?
i've been saying the same shit for centuries
you say it's me that you worship
all you Christians, all you Muslims, and you Jews
i'm going to say it again one more time, don't kill your neighbor
Jesus Christ this shouldn't be news
don't kill, don't kill
i thought i etched this in stone?

"Don't Kill"
written by Hamell On Trial

on edit... the next number sounds like Santana on guitar:

"War Is Coming"

war is coming, there's nothing you can do
the army's coming, they're charging right for you
they're riding horses, breathing sulphur, smoke and fire
one third of humanity will end up on the funeral pyre
war is coming, there's nowhere you can hide
the army's coming to take you for a ride
and all your money cannot change your fate
the end is upon us, there's no way to escape
the message has been sent to those who won't repent
they worship all they own and everything they've spent

18. here's another good one, perhaps my favorite so far:
Edited on Sun May-28-06 08:41 PM by Jeffersons Ghost
COMBAT ROCK
they tell us there are only two sides to be on
if you are on our side you're right if not you're wrong
but are we innocent, paragons of good?
is our guilt erased by the pain that we've endured?
hey look it's time to pledge allegiance
oh god i love my dirty uncle sam
our country's marching to the beat now
and we must learn to step in time
where is the questioning where is the protest song?
since when is skepticism un-american?
dissent's not treason but they talk like it's the same
those who disagree are afraid to show their face
let's break out our old machines now
it sure is good to see them run again
oh gentlemen start your engines
and we know where we get the oil from
are you feeling alright now
paint myself all red white blue
are you singing let's fight now
innocent people die, uh oh
there are reasons to unite
is this why we unite?
if you hate this time
remember we are the time!
show you love your country go out and spend some cash
red white blue hot pants doing it for uncle sam
flex our muscles show them we're stronger than the rest
raise your hands up baby are you sure that we're the best?
we'll come out with our fists raised
the good old boys are back on top again
and if we let them lead us blindly
the past becomes the future once again

SON OF A BUSH
oh no
struck by greased lightning
F'd by the same last name, you know what?
China ain't never givin back that gottdamn plane
must got this ol nation trained
on some kennel ration
refrain

the father, the son
and the holy Bush-it we all in
dont look at me
i aint callin for no assassination
im just sayin who voted for this asshole of the nation

deja Bush
crushed by the head rush
15 years back
when i wrote the first bum rush
saw you salute
to the then
vice prez
who did what Raygun said
and then became prez
himself went for delf
knee deep in his damn self
stuck in a 3 headed bucket
of trilateral Bush-it
sorry ain't no better way of puttin it
no you cannot freestyle this
cause yo ass still ain't free
if fight for yall
and they get me
how many of yall is comin to get me?
none
cause its easier to forget me

ain't that a Bush
son of a Bush is here
all up in your zone
you aint never heard so much soul to the bone
i told y'all when the first Bush was tappin my phone
spy vs spy
can't truss em
as you salute to the Illuminati
take your ass to your 1 millionth party
now here's the pitch
high and inside
certified genocide
ain't that a Bush repeat ain't that a Bush
out of nowhere
headed to the hothouse?
killed 135 at the last count...Texas bounce
cats in the cage
got a ghost of a chance
of comin back
from your whack ass killin machine

son of a Bush ain't that a son of a Bush
cats doin bids
for doin the same Bush shit that you did
serial killer kid uh serial killer kid
Coke its the real thing
used to make you swing
used to be your thing
daddy had you under his wing
bringin kilos to fill up silos
you probably sniffed piles
got inmates in Texas scrubbin tiles
that shit is wild
CIA child

CIA child

I LOVE THIS NEXT ONE!

THE PRICE OF OIL

voices on the radio
tell us that we're going to war
those brave men and women in uniform
they want to know what they're fighting for
the generals want to hear the end game
the allies won't approve the plan
but the oil men in the white house
they just don't give a damn

it's all about the price of oil
it's all about the price of oil
don't give me no shit
about blood, sweat, tears and toil
it's all about the price of oil
now I ain't no fan of Saddam Hussein
oh, please don't get me wrong
if it's freeing the Iraqi people youe after
then why have we waited so long
why didn't we sort this out last time
was he less evil than he is now
the stock market holds the answer
to why him, why here, why now

Saddam killed his own people
just like general Pinochet
and once upon a time both these evil men
were supported by the U.S.A.
and whisper it, even Bin Laden
once drank from America's cup
just like that election down in Florida
this shit doesn't all add up
it's all about the price of oil
use it's all about the price of oil
don't give me no shit
about blood, sweat, tears and toil
it's all about the price of oil

30. Kravitz ROCKS! He sees how Poppy is an evil man and
son tries to fill his shoes.

I also love that the lyrics are on the site. I have a hard time hearing the words during a song, so this is great for me. Once I read the lyrics it's easier for me to hear them in the song for some reason.

I put the link in my task bar for easy access.

Thanks for all you DU!! :toast:

US FORCES

US forces give the nod
it's a setback for your country
bombs and trenches all in rows
bombs and threats still ask for more

divided world the CIA
who controls the issue
you leave us with no time to talk
you can write your own assessment

sing me songs of no denying
seems to me too many trying
waiting for the next big thing

will you know it when you see it?
high risk children dogs of war
now market movements call the shots
business deals in parking lots
waiting for the meat of tomorrow

everyone is too stoned to start emission
people too scared to go to prison
we're unable to make decisions
political party line don't cross that floor
L. Ron Hubbard can't save your life
superboy takes a plutonium wife
in the shadows of ban the bomb we live

this is another light pop number with heavy lyrics;

JACOB'S LADDER (NOT IN MY NAME)

like a sermon on the mountain
says the dumber got dumb
hellfire and brimstone
swapped for oil and guns
when we're pushing up daisies
we all look the same
in the name of the father maybe
but not in my name

on this Jacob's ladder
the only way up is down
one step from disaster
two to make the higher ground
Jacob's ladder

a million lifetimes
left dying in the sun
in the streets down in Whitehall
dogs picking at the bones
nine eleven got branded
nine eleven got sold
there will be no one left to water
all the seeds you've sown

on this Jacob's ladder
the only way up is down
one step from disaster
two to make the higher ground
Jacob's ladder

and they sent him to the wars
to be slain to be slain
and they sent him to the wars
to be slain

26. I really liked it too Berserker
Here's some smooth pop with a lively beat and a unique flavor I can't quite put my finger on:

MONEY IS YOUR BLOOD

you think you're so clever
that's just your perception
you're murdering this world
with weapons of mass deception

i cannot see your face for lies
they swarm around like hungry flies
you bomb, you murder, your endless toil
for nothing more than bloody oil

the time has come for sentence
for you there's no redemption
this war is so pretentious
because money is your blood

for several hundred years
the source of oppression
you prey on human fears
'til your dirty work is done

and when the next war passes by
you'll shoot the stars of the sky
but now i hear the turning tide
it's time to stop 'cause you can't hide

Can't help but post this song since everyone's doing lyrics...

What's wrong with the world, mama
People livin' like they ain't got no mamas
I think the whole world addicted to the drama
Only attracted to things that'll bring you trauma
Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin'
In the USA, the big CIA
The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK
But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate then you're bound to get irate, yeah
Madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
Man, you gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love, y'all, y'all

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

Father, Father, Father help us
Send us some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love
The love, the love

It just ain't the same, always unchanged
New days are strange, is the world insane
If love and peace is so strong
Why are there pieces of love that don't belong
Nations droppin' bombs
Chemical gasses fillin' lungs of little ones
With ongoin' sufferin' as the youth die young
So ask yourself is the lovin' really gone
So I could ask myself really what is goin' wrong
In this world that we livin' in people keep on givin'
in
Makin' wrong decisions, only visions of them dividends
Not respectin' each other, deny thy brother
A war is goin' on but the reason's undercover
The truth is kept secret, it's swept under the rug
If you never know truth then you never know love
Where's the love, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the truth, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the love, y'all

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

Father, Father, Father help us
Send us some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love
The love, the love

I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
As I'm gettin' older, y'all, people gets colder
Most of us only care about money makin'
Selfishness got us followin' our wrong direction
Wrong information always shown by the media
Negative images is the main criteria
Infecting the young minds faster than bacteria
Kids wanna act like what they see in the cinema
Yo', whatever happened to the values of humanity
Whatever happened to the fairness in equality
Instead in spreading love we spreading animosity
Lack of understanding, leading lives away from unity
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' under
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' down
There's no wonder why sometimes I'm feelin' under
Gotta keep my faith alive till love is found

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

Father, Father, Father help us
Send us some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)

24. yeah those are good... I'm posting lyrics from songs as I hear them
at this free MP3 antiwar site: http://www.peace-not-war.org/Jukebox/index.html

FLAG (HALF MAST MIX)

another psychopath in Iowa
loading up another round
while the NRA in Columbine
hunt Marilyn Manson down
powder in the Pentagon
cruel letters in the mail
some KKK white supremicist
cooking up a dose of race hate
don't need no country
cut no slack for the union jack
stars and stripes have got me jetlagged
some baby in Afganistan crying for its' mama now
while the BNP scare refugees senseless up in Oldham town
hypocrites in Downing Street
pouring petrol on the name
Satpal cries, asks Paddy
why do we always get the blame
sing a song for the asylum seeker
for the frightened baby on some foreign beach
you'd better bang a gong and pray
they reach a safe harbour
some mother in Jakarta lays down her weary head
in some free trade zone compound
where they work you 'til you're dead
hunger stalks the corridor famine and disease
I seen the multinationals walking hand in hand
with globalising marketeers
don't need no country

LONE PINE

it's a strange land
when you're an outlander
the discovery of wanting
an ecstasy of fumbling
and while the earth leapt at our feet
it's hands like those of ancient lovers
pulling us
they follow us in our every move
drag us down, alone, under
drag me down
we dragged our boots over no-man's land
and held our sway, when lead did sing
and pulled the others in our wake
try not to think, only take
and fortune, she's a cunt
and there are few that die well
when they're in the front
in the neck, or the neck
one's as good as the other

it's a cold place to be
in between
a shipwreck at sea
from paeschendale
to villiers bretoneaux
the neck, lone pine and Anzac cove
drag me down
stepping and trudging
this endless grim mile
nothing ahead
but the naked and dead
deceased and devoid
nothing ahead
stepping and trudging
the naked and dead
nothing moves forward
nothing ahead
deceased and devoid
the naked and dead

WAR NO MORE

Light is in the air right now
Two thousand and two rebel music
The saga continues
Listen, children
What's the problem in Manhattan
Every ten men they look like Bin Laden
So I have problems when I go to the airport
First thing they do they wanna ask me for my passport
The said Wyclef we love the Fugees the score
But did anybody give you any strange package to bring on board
I was like ?no'
Here comes your national guards
This look like a scene from the movie Star Wars
One foot in, one foot out standing in the airplane
I'm on tour
I'm on my way to Japan
First class, dark shades
Let the fuschia out bed
I want to sleep but keep my eyes on the cock pit
Why just think they stay target- the pilot
We gonna take over the plane
Like the Los Angeles riot
Riot
Riot
The Middle East
The Middle East
The street pack more heat than the Middle East
The Middle East
The Middle East
When will the violence sleep in the Middle East
The Middle East
The street pack more heat than the Middle East
The Middle East
The Middle East
When will the violence
Say peace
Say peace
We don't want no war no more
Let me hear the streets
Peace, oh peace
We don't want no war no more
Let me hear the Middle East now
Peace, now peace, oh peace, oh peace
We don't want no war no more
Let me hear the USA say peace
Say peace
Lord, peace
We don't want no war no more
We don't want no war no more
We don't want no war no more
We don't want no war no more
We don't want no war no more
We don't want no war no more
We don't want no war no more
Ay, peace
Oh peace
We don't want no war no more
No, no let me hear you say
Peace, peace,
Say peace, say peace
We don't want no war no more
No, no, no, no
Say peace, oh peace
We don't want no war no more
No more riots
Riots
riots
Riots
Riots
Riots
Riot

WAR NO MORE

the next song could be Robert Zimmerman (Bob Dylan)

LIFE DURING WARTIME

yeah we say making changes starts
in the little things you do
revolution begins at home
but for most of us it ends there too

we're doing something
we're making changes
like changing the brand of crap we buy
we say it makes a difference
but that's just another lie

it used to be us and them
and you and me
and now we can't reach our potential
without a common enemy

a real war to fight against
instead of our petty disagreements
how can i rationalize
my life during wartime lie

a call to action
and a reaction
taking our lives in our own hands
instead of sitting around and talking bout
the same old shitty bands

the war's going on right now
and i'm not doing anything about it
without a crowd I'm not so loud
i can't do anything by myself
but that's just another lie
