Have any DEMOCRATS explained why they will vote for ALITO?
if they are to vote for Alito - what is the deal? Have they committed a bad deed that they need republican support? Surely they aren't frightened of their voters? What is it?

We want an answer. This is NOT a free vote and the whip should crack it so that Democratic congresspersons fall into line! Otherwise they should be flung out of the party.

This is a matter of life and death for our country!

6. Wrong
"So far I have seen nothing during my interview with the nominee, the background materials that have been produced or through the committee process that I would consider a disqualifying issue against Judge Alito," Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., said.

13. I can also guarantee you his Asshole-in name buddy
Bill Nelson will also vote for him.

And in the unlikely event of a filibuster, he'll go with the repugs, just as he always has.

7. I doubt any will.
Except maybe Lieberman & Zell Miller - and they don't really count. :)

I don't think they should filibuster, but it'd be nice if there was some party unity against Alito.

14. Dems seem pretty united against him
They may not filibuster but I'm pretty sure they will almost uniformly vote against it.
