If you could push the whole democratic party in a given direction, in terms of priorities, which way would it be?

Choices 6, 7, and 9 would be the core economic philosophy of what I want out of a party in this country.

Investments in infrastructure create more jobs. Maybe we could invest in high-speed bullet trains to connect major cities. It'd create lots of jobs and make ground travel faster, and it's a lot safer than the interstates. It'd end up saving a lot of lives as a result in the long-run.

Also, withdraw from NAFTA, CAFTA, and advocate fair trade instead of this "free trade" crap.

There's got to be an amendment explicitly separating the church and the state.

7. focus on exposing and prosecuting Bushco's myriad crimes

to me, this encompasses:
1) the shredding of the constitution via "unitary executive" powers
2) lying us into a war (or 2 or 3)
3) incompetence leaving us unprotected on 9/11, Katrina, and to this day
4) illegal wiretapping
5) authorizing torture/ignoring the Geneva convention
6) stealing at least 3 elections
7) etc, etc, etc...

If we can correct these wrongs, and prevent them from happening again by exposing them in detail for all to see, then the rest should be gravy...

We need more Democrats focusing on the fact that the war in Iraq was a big mistake and that we need to get out - not just that the war was mishandled. And if I had my way, takes on the rich would be very heavy.
