Thanks for the welcomes

I just wanted to say thanks to all the people who've welcomed me here. I didn't post to everyone individually because I didn't want to clog the threads, but it's wonderful to find so many friendly people here.

I also wanted to say that I've been reading DU since before the war started. As the Iraq rhetoric was heating up, I became increasingly frustrated with the usual news sources, so I asked my brother (the really,really progressive one in our family) where I could go to get some real news. His answer was: BBC, CBC, and DU. I've been reading and recommending the LBN here ever since.

Not been online as much as usual so I didn't see any of your previous post and get a chance to welcome you.

Thank your brother for suggesting DU for news and info MSM doesn't want people to know about! One way or the other, we will join together and beat back the forces of greed and destruction.

I read for awhile, then I signed up during Katrina. I was mad as hell and I'd been thinking "the public wrath about New Orleans is going to fry bushco". And suddenly I had my username.
