Edited on Thu Jun-01-06 04:45 PM by wordpix2
Peter King of NY who's also Chair of the Homeland Security Committee in House is flaming Chertoff/DHS over the cuts to NYC funding for homeland security. Says they will be investigated re: Cunningham and limo contracts. "Chertoff is changing his story by the day and hour."

On Hardball/MSNBC, first segment tonight.

1. Don't cry for me Peter!
Isn't this the asshole that said on the WH lawn "and we'll do the counting" in reference the the votes in the 2004 election?

9. King is going after DHS & Cunningham parties in his committee, LOL!
Says the limo company run by a criminal got a $21 million contract to drive top DHS officials around, apparently to the Watergate parties. bwahahha, this promises to be a fun investigation.

21. so far up that
I'll bet that he probably voted yes on the 14% budget cut for Homeland Security.....I noticed he didn't reply to that when Tweety made mention of it.

5. Peter King is a Prick
He is the congressman in the neighboring district to where I live. He said he thanks God every day that George Bush is our President. He sends his constituents letters calling them idiots. He is repulsive. I wish Suozzi had challenged him instead of trying to beat out Spitzer for Governor. The sooner we are rid of King and this whole crew ( and he is SO them it isn't funny) the better. Watching him trying to distance himself from the Bush cabal is very amusing.

6. "They"? Do you mean ChimpCo specifically? Or Republicans in general?
And you kiss the ass of one group, and belong to the other, don't you? So who is this "they" you're talking about?

12. It shows how ineffective King is.
He can't get the money here, so what's the point of having him as Chair or even in Congress.

15. Well sure - this threatens his seat
I mean, why bother voting for a man that can't secure fair security funding from his own party.

Makes him look weak and ineffective.

That's who this is. Maybe he should've thought about the dangers of outright crony corporatism before he helped them corrupt the election process.
