Who Divides Antiterror Money? That's a Secret...
'The panel that guided the distribution of $711 million in antiterrorism money in a process that led to New York City's share being reduced by 40 percent is a shadow player in the war on terror, its work kept secret and its members shielded from view.

A collection of about 100 law enforcement officials and government bureaucrats from all over the country, the so-called peer reviewers who evaluated proposals for the Department of Homeland Security, took vows of silence, signing agreements that they would not reveal the substance of their deliberations.'

2. Yar right. Why should we have a say in it?
NYC and DC vote Dem. Most places in Tex. we know will vote GOP so I can guess where the money will go. All those places that are leaning to wards Dem. so they move back to the GOP. It is just another way to the crooks work.

what happened to DHS monies to NYC, what the hell did he think was going to happen...the cheney/bush/nixon's ghost admin would somehow do the right thing...that's the nearly funny part.

:wtf: republicans just don't get it even yet

4. What gets to me is these people never seem to see this
Turn over your rights and rule to some one, he always cuts it down to more of a line in what he wants. It is like the church thing, Until one has to believe just as they do, to the letter, or your not a good christian or what ever religions that gets the upper hand. One only has to look at history to see this over and over,.

5. Who? Karl Rove, who else?
The HS budget is a pork barrel for use where it is needed by the reigning party. (It is a tax redistribution system for staging rewards and come backs. Why waste it on known lost causes?)

see that much of the money has been sprinkled into & around areas where republicans need support for no other reason than political expediancy...it's all done with a wonk & a nob of course, but the trail goes back to bush via rove somehow...always rove somehow,

I find that looking for the "power" reason often is a shortcut to understanding. Nebraska is a conservative state that needs a Senator party switch. Omaha is now a terrorist target with increased funding. I haven't figured out the Kentucky thing yet but it might relate to Republican scandals needing silencing but I haven't checked my memory of this yet.
