So, apparently Canadian police have foiled an 'al-Qaeda'
inspired bomb plot.

Is that anything like those fake purses that are 'Gucci inspired', or 'Kate Spade' inspired?

1. Details began emerging Saturday of an RCMP
raid east of Toronto in which 17 people were arrested Friday evening on terrorism-related charges.

An officer is seen outside the police station in Pickering, Ont., Friday night. (CBC)
Police said 12 adults and five young offenders have been charged with a number of terrorism offenders.

The RCMP said they "have arrested a number of individual who were planning to commit a series of terror attacks against targets here in southern Ontario."....

....The charges are related to an explosives plot in Ontario, an unidentified police source said.

Reports said some members of the group allegedly attended a "training camp" north of Toronto where they made a video imitating military warfare......

4. How long before a DUer posts that they're connected to the 9/11 terrorists
who "crossed into the U.S.A. from Canada?" The fact is none of the 9/11 terrorists came from Canada, but many Americans still believe that to be true. I saw something someone on DU posted about it just within the last week or so.

5. Don't know but CNN went "there"
almost immediately.

MSNBC the reporter asked about border protection and if they could the fertilizer over the border ... whoever she was interviewing pointed that you can buy that in the US and there would be no need to sneak it over the border .... duh

10. But what if these guys crossed into Canada from the US?
Quick! Spin up the FUD engines! Our evil neighbor to the south is a supporter of al-Qaeda and is responsible for the attacks on our .. .. uh .. .. well, they're responsible! For something!

We must erect defenses! Perhaps in the form of an ineffectual and grossly inconvenient fence of some sort!

6. Here' a related bit of info from kpete's thread. Ray McGovern...
SAZ....

mcgovern: Iran Strike Set For June Or July

Former CIA Analyst Says Iran Strike Set For June Or July
McGovern: Staged terror attacks across Europe, US "probable" in order to justify invasion

Former CIA analyst and Presidential advisor Ray McGovern, fresh from his heated public confrontation with Donald Rumsfeld, fears that staged terror attacks across Europe and the US are probable in order to justify the Bush administration's plan to launch a military strike against Iran, which he thinks will take place in June or July.

Appearing on The Alex Jones Show, McGovern was asked about the timetable for war in Iran and said that behind the diplomatic smokescreen, the final chess pieces were being moved into position.

"There is already one carrier task force there in the Gulf, two are steaming toward it at the last report I have at least - they will all be there in another week or so."
