8. Slightly off topic, but I've developed quite a popcorn appetite
in the last couple years. Most of what I've tried sucks. Any recommendations on brand quality?

13. Oddly, it was a bit of 13th century photoshopping.
Apparently. According to the best theory I heard. An experiement with photography - attempts to transfer he image of a face to fabric for mass manufacture.

9. There was blood on the shroud, and murder on the dancefloor.
Better not kill the groove.

11. I focus more on the fact that the guy on the shroud...
...is a six-foot Caucasian, whereas Jesus was
considered small amongst his fellow Palestinians
who averaged 5'1" tall...
and looked like THIS:

15. Why do you say
Jesus was "considered small amongst his fellow Palestinians"?

16. That's one of those "common beliefs" which seem to be unsourced...
..but which are almost 2000 years old.

The Xtian Bible doesn't ever specifically describe his physical appearance,
but the "slight of stature, with skin like bronze and hair like wool" description
seems to have followed his legend everywhere by word of mouth.
I feel the need to have a mental image of the man,
so I chose that one, as many have before me.

So, to be honest, I can't actually say that I KNOW he was a small man.
I can only say that lots of folks have always believed that.

18. colin wilson's a criminal history of mankind is the source actually
he attributes the description to a roman contemporary who describes him as short, nappy haired, etc.

i don't have time to look up the cite right now but PM me in about 3 weeks and maybe i can find it for you

or if you have the book you can thumb thru until you find the part abt the early christians and their place in the criminal history of mankind :-)

I think it's real. It's Selhurst Park in GB.

17. Resurrection got his heart beating again, hence the blood
One could guess too there was blood on the body that shifted after he was laid down and wrapped up.

I don't put much faith in the shroud though. Don't really think god would want a bunch of people worshipping some stained cloth.
