BLUE ALERT: LUAU in Hawaii: 16th DU Luau is in planning stages: COME
we go enjoy:

Kamaaina, Oasis and I have been doing this for over 2 years with various DU guests.

Dates: Jume 17th? 24th?

Time: 1100; 11:00 AM, till drunk ass stupified

Food: Sushi, Sashimi, Crabs, Kalua pig, Ahi poke w/limu, Haupia, Oysters, Steaks, Salada, etc, and Lutefisk?.

Drink: BYOB

WHERE: ??? asking for suggestions(Honolulu, Windward)????

10. For us locals, manini is a tasty fish eaten with rice and corned beef
/round onions fried.

However, the manini also means anything small, not worth much, etc As in: "Eh, wha happen to yo mangos this year, kinda manini looking yeah?"

"I guess no mo rain this year...too dry"

Come, luau with us...MANGO SEASON....

12. thanks for the refresher course!!
I was placed in a local school -- second grade -- in Hawaii. Had to learn a new language --pidgin -- fast.

That was a very long time ago.

Amazing that my early years in Hawaii mean that I can understand other versions of pidgin -- like some of the Caribbean pidgin English. Not any Japanese words -- and the rhythm is different.

Anyway I'd love to go . . . but too much to do here. Thanks for the invite . . . enjoy the food and da kine talk.
