If we allow GL marriage the unmarried hetero teenage girl next door is more likely to have a baby based on some "study" of Holland?

How could he say all this crazy shit with a straight face?

How can he claim that he has the answers to illegal immigration? Who knows? We earmarked 1.7 billion dollars to upgrade surviellance systems blah blah blah..............

Why is throwing money always the governments answer to issues? Defense, education, border protection, you name it, spending more money solves it.....

17. Sometimes money is the answer- Take veterans health care

(or mine) for instance - or interest on college loans or HHS or the FDA, ETC. This admin has cut and underfunded many crucial services, then they turned around and gave tax cuts to millionaires. It's all "I got mine, everyone else piss off".

5. Well, you sure made the right decision

I wasn't going to listen either until I saw some posts here about what a couple of the Repub nutballs were saying so my curiousity got the best of me.

Now this jerk Cornyn is up and if it's possible he seems even nuttier than Brownbeck. Based on what these guys are saying I should look under the bed tonight before going to sleep to make sure there aren't any lesbians under there waiting to spirit my wife away in the middle of the night and the teenage girl next door might be impregnated (by a gay guy? Single or married?).

I am going to follow your lead because I just can't take anymore of this crapola.

6. There was some nonsense about Holland (the Netherlands) having

increasing births among the unwed after that country allowed gay marriage in 2004. Think it was one of the fundie 'family' groups that started it. I have a letter that I wrote to a RW 'journalist' at home where I took him and that theory apart. I remember that the number of couples (heterosexual) getting married in Holland has been dropping, but they continue to have children at approximately the same rate as marrieds. The marriage rate in the US is dropping almost as fast.

I've always supported GL rights including marriage but I can't ever remember being this pissed off about it before and can't help but wonder if many Americans, with all the serious problems we're facing, aren't also getting pissed off no matter what they think about GL marriage or even if they don't think about it at all.
