The public pays a lot more attention to the other things you mention, and the media fails to report in any meaningful way. Throughout the Bush maladministration's history, Bush has been followed by more protesters since Nixon during the Vietnam War. And that has been since 2001.

The media will probably ignore this, too. Face it, they ignore everything negative for the Republican's that can't be spun into incomprehension. Some outlets will cover it, and the American public will have to do the rest.

This is the kind of story beloved by the British press, let's hope they go full tilt in their reporting.
