Lots of people must have missed it. Much excitment that he was back at all.

He said he'd still post here but a bit more under the radar. It's a shame the hammerheads were so brutal that they managed to cause one of the strongest voices in the history of DU to be so disgusted that he feels no choice but to be more reserved.

I'm sure, or at least hopeful, that before long he will post as frequently as he had, since I consider him to be in the top of the DU talent pool, and always gives one hell of a read. I hope he comes to realize that the hammerheads are no more than simply pirahnas, which appear deadly in a swarm but when alone, are nothing but whimps that get beat up on by even oscars. They are false terrors. Only in groups can they cause any damage, but alone they are weak and worthless. I'm sure Will knows this, as he is far better than they.

I'm sure it is becomming as clear as a bell who the "regulars" are too.

And the funny thing is each one of them you will rarely see post without their clique present. As I said, when alone, they are weak. Only in numbers can they tear flesh.

You can spin and twist it however you want but as can be seen even from his thread the other day, he was in no way using those terms broadly against everyone disagreeing with the article. So that is just simply an already proven wrong flat out lie.

Furthermore, nothing has been proven totally false yet. So that is yet another lie.

Therefore, no skeptics have yet been vindictated. So that is simply misguided.

Additionally, calling William Pitt a grandstanding fraud is exactly why in turn he would call someone posting that a fuckwit and a cretin. I'd agree with him there.

And appropriately, all of those who work tirelessly for our cause and actually go out and make a difference in the world towards those ends are heroes, Will included.

As far as I'm concerned the story behind the TO thing is yet a work in progress. If Will feels uncomfortable amongst friends, so be it. But he should never feel uncomfortable amongst family. I read your post with great interest the other night, but couldn't respond before it was locked. The history of DU is fascinating. I had visited DU years ago when I did a search on Halliburton and Cheney, but I just read an article; I had no idea of the way DU was organized until a link in one of the e-mails concerning Kerry post debate polling brought me to DU! I followed Skinner (had no idea of who Skinner was at that point in time) throughout the poll threads, and I became addicted to this place. DU has been a source of solace and strength and sanity, and your posts have aided me immmeasurably along those lines!
