Need some help with a reply to my Repuke Congressman. He's really
pissed me off this time.

Here's his letter to me:

Thank you for contacting me to express your concern regarding the conduct of President Bush and his administration in the War on Terrorism. It was good to hear from you.

As you know, Representative John Conyers Jr. (D-MI) recently introduced H. Resolutions 635, 636, and 637, (what I wrote about)which would create a committee to investigate the Administration's use of pre-war intelligence, etc. Also, the resolutions would censure the Administration for a so-called "failure to respond" to extremely broad requests for information from a group of political opponents in Congress.

Numerous bipartisan investigations have concluded the Administration was honest in its pre-war assessment of the threat from Saddam Hussein's regime. Furthermore, the idea that Saddam Hussein should be removed from power in Iraq was not hatched by President Bush. Rather, President Clinton signed the Iraq Liberation Act, making such a position the official policy of the United States. On December 16, 1998, President Clinton announced that he was ordering military strikes on Iraq because "if Saddam can cripple the weapons inspections system and get away with it, he would conclude the international community, led by the United States, has simply lost its will. He would surmise that he has free rein to rebuild his arsenal of destruction....The best way to end that threat once and for all is with a new Iraqi government...a government ready to live in peace with its neighbors, a government that respects the rights of its people."

Before Operation Iraqi Freedom began, I was hopeful that Saddam Hussein would follow the U.N. Resolutions and cooperate with the international community. However, Iraq did not cooperate and was a threat to the American people. Additionally, Iraq supported terrorism, including direct payments to the families of suicide bombers and harboring known terrorists. These facts alone provide justification for the use of force. I recently returned from Iraq, and I am very proud of our troops and believe they have performed remarkably in the War on Terrorism. Please be assured that I will keep your views in mind if H.Res. 635, 636, or 637 comes up for a vote in the House of Representatives.

Again, thank you for contacting me on this very important issue. Please be sure to visit our website at www.boozman.house.gov. I look forward to your continued correspondence.

Sincerely,
John Boozman
Member of Congress

Now, I want to call him out on the 'war on terrorism' being used in relation to the occupation of Iraq. I know that there have not been any 'bipartisan investigations' into Chimpy's use of intelligence. Phase two still not done by SSCI and Bush's presidential commission didn't look at policy makers' use, etc.

I need help on his hacking out parts of Clinton's statements. I will call him on why the respect for a UN resolution, while the admin. ignored the UN Charter prohibiting pre-emptive use of force.

What else? I have written more than 250 letters to this guy and he's answered about 150.

1. Waste of time, fool. To quote Ralph Shoenman, "Political reform is the
result of independant organizing, outside the political parties provided by the corporate ruling class."
To begin with, read Noam Chomsky, Howard Zinn, listen to dicidents, and by all means say things that will cause the DUers to hit their "IGNORE" buttons. The pablum that the military industrial complex, the prison industrial complex will yield up their megalithic hold on power is exactly what they want to hear, and to ignore.
I heard the best explanation of what is driving the U.S. war on Iraq, by Noam on Monday at the UN.
The Saudi Oil money and this administration are one with the farce.
Venezuela, surviving the U.S. backed Coup de eta two years ago, has more oil (heavy crude though) than the Saudi ARISTOCRACY, and threatens to LOWER the barrel cost substantially. Because Chavez payed off their IMF debt, payed off Bolivia's IMF debt and their independance from IMF, read U.S. Treasury, control over their monetary and oil export policy SCARES THE BUSH-SAUDI cartell to their money grubbing souls, which explains the U.S. hysteria over Venezuela's pres. Hugo Chavez.
So if you think a couple of letters to a perpetual war-profitter congressman or two will persuade them to do ANYTHING, think again. IGNORE button time?
