Edited on Wed Jun-07-06 10:29 PM by Steve_DeShazer
I don't understand why even DUers pay her any attention.

She is a complete distraction and a total waste of everyone's time and energy.

Get off your ass and register someone to vote.

And don't bother with any voting machine rejoinders.

DO something.

Ann Coulter doesn't mean shit unless we let her.

Stop letting her.

2. I can multi-task....
I register a lot of voters when I set up my table at events, and when I'm collecting signatures for ballot initiative petitions.

I also rant and rave on this board.

Ann Coulter is a perfect spokes(person?) for the right. I hope she gets even more exposure.

6. If Ann helps register new voters, great, but dozens of Ann threads here?
What an incredibly effective distraction.

Ann Coulter 1, DU nil.

18. Agreed! We can walk and chew gum at the same time.
I think Ann Coulter is relevant because it goes to a pattern of behavior by those on the right. It's about their blatant disrespect of grieving mothers and widows who, heaven forbid, don't happen to agree with the Republicans on the issues.

Ann Coulter talks about "the left's doctrine of infallability" (meaning we say hands off grieving mothers and widows).

But that's not true. We are not asking Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh or anyone else to actually AGREE with what Kirsten Breitweiser and the other Jersey Girls have said about Bush and 9/11.

We are simply asking them to RESPECT their right to say it.

If Ann Coulter has a policy disagreement with the Jersey Girls, she is more than welcome to make her point. But do so without attacking them personally as women enjoying their husband's deaths.

3. Here! Here!
I want to ask everyone that obsesses about Ann Coulter's latest atrocity, "Do you think that this reaction isn't exactly what she wants?"

Ann intentionally says things that are so outrageous and so offensive that she knows it's going to drive liberals crazy. And guess what happens when it works? Ann goes on TV. She goes on speaking tours. She gets treated like a star.

Stop giving her the attention. Treat her like the pathetic loser she is.

7. Bingo. She's just humping her new book. And DUers are helping!
This whole thing is a very effective distraction from the real issues.

13. I disagree. She's part of the slow poisoning of America...
via Corporate Media. She's trotted out on The Today Show to interview with that dreeeamy Matt Lauer and viewers will consider her mainstream rather than the extremist she truly is. Next thing you know, your seemingly innocuous neighbor is bashing 9/11 widows, the same way they've been conditioned to say that the troops "signed up for it" or to recoil when they learn you're a big, bad librul. Then they vote. Coulter needs to be stopped, or at the very least, relegated to Faux "News".

21. I disagree
Her value in ramping up hater voters for the Greedy Old Pigs far outstrips her negatives among liberals.

I can't prove it, but I suspect that a lot of crotchety old Conservo-tards are motivated by Ms. Coulter, many more than liberals who despise her.

She's still a plus for them, and it's no accident that they trotted her out to hardsell her book right now.

Your mileage may vary. :)

25. I'm not talking about the hard liner thugs
I'm refering to moderate repubs, swing voters, indies, the so called Reagan Dems, the conservative Dems here in my state of PA. The media is turning on her - she's becoming a joke (though to us she always was) and is actually, finally being taken to task by the media.
She painted herself into her filthy little corner.
