Several Mob Beating Suspects in Custody

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are continuing their investigation of a mob beating, and a prosecutor is mulling charges in the case.

Five teens were questioned on Thursday in juvenile court. Officials said that they believe at least three of them are members of a street gang called the "Tray-Six Mafia." No charges have been filed yet but a prosecutor is continuing to review police reports.

It's sad that we have such heartless excuses for human beings roaming our streets.

So, I'm guessing they were centered around 36th street? Milwaukee has a tradition of home gangs named after streets (ie., The 27's, the 16's, etc...).

I hadn't heard of them before, so I'm also guessing they are somewhat new. :shrug:

And another thing: 36th street is a minor street -- It doesn't even have a traffic light, IIRC. Also, I'd bet that before this incident, there hadn't been a police car along that street in many months. Patrol coverage on the North side used to be almost non-existent.

Conclusion: These were dumb kids living the urban equivalent of Lord of the Flies.

4. Dumb kids who are probably going to spend

some significant time in prison. They will probably learn a lot more about a "Lord of the Flies" environment.
