1. I could not believe what I was hearing!!
That was awesome how he compared Bush to Saddam and said they were both the same. They are both terrorists. Sweet.

9. He quoted Bunyan
Edited on Thu Jun-08-06 07:05 AM by malaise
re life as Soledad went on and on about other victims who were celebrating his death. Berg didn't think there was anything to celebrate about humans killing humans. He discussed the insurgency and the fact that Iraqis were very unhappy and things were much worse. Said Bush was no better than Sadam and life was much worse for Iraqis under him. Pointed out that Sadam had been replaced by 'King George'.
Soledad was way out of her depth and continued asking stupid questions while Berg destroyed her every point.

Sp.

12. Good Summary
Michael Berg is lightyears ahead of the warmongers.
I find no joy in the 17th death of one of the z-men either.
Each death in Iraq is more than is necessary.

6. He did a great job
Soledad was "surprised" that Berg wasn't glad that Zarqawi was dead. Berg said he's never happy when another human being dies.

13. "Frankly I am quite surprised..."
after his first response.

Mr.Berg said about exactly what I would expect him to say. Soledad got a softer but just as effective treatment from Sen.Biden.

14. He was also on FNC - Reuters: Father of beheaded man blames Bush, not Zarq
http://today.reuters.com/news/newsarticle.aspx?type=politicsNews&storyid=2006-06-08T125618Z_01_N08295664_RTRUKOC_0_US-IRAQ-ZARQAWI-BERG.xml&src=rss&rpc=22

PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - Michael Berg, whose son Nick was beheaded in Iraq in 2004, said on Thursday he felt no sense of relief at the killing of the al Qaeda leader in Iraq and blamed President Bush for his son's death.

Asked what would give him satisfaction, Berg, an anti-war activist and candidate for U.S. Congress, said, "The end of the war and getting rid of George Bush."

. . . .

"I don't think that Zarqawi is himself responsible for the killings of hundreds of thousands of people in Iraq," Berg said in a combative television interview with the U.S. Fox News network. "I think George Bush is.

"George Bush is the one that invaded this country, George Bush is the one that destabilized it so that Zarqawi could get in, so that Zarqawi had a need to get in, to defend his region of the country from American invaders."
