18. You missed the point completely, didn't you?
It has nothing to do with Bush and everything to do with Big Dog divorcing himself from Gore until the lsat minutes in the 2000 campaign BECAUSE of Little Willie. Go back and flush out the history of the campaign.

17. Having "no plans to run" leaves a pretty big loophole.....
I've heard that Gore would like a groundswell of support to well up so he would be "asked" rather than having to pursue it. I was thinking about that this morning...I can understand why he would want this. As soon as he gets "political" the knives will come out....it would be so much better, I'm thinking he thinks, if there were a head of steam behind him...maybe minimize the party's in-fighting, and sort of use a sense of "acclamation" to propel a candidacy...
