OK, am I wrong here...
I'm certainly not sorry that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is dead, but am I the only one who thinks it's - well - unseemly - to plaster his dead face over the airways all day long? Yeah, we got him, but this kind of reminds me of the days when we hung people in the public square as an example.

1. I thought the framing was extreme and inappropriate.
Like an art piece.

4. I thought it was tasteless
Something that is done by desperate people needing approval.

2. It's typical mob mentality
DU'rs are not immune to it.

3. Agreed... they did the same thing with Saddams sons
yet, when the terrorists do it, it's evil. If Zarqawi is what they say he is then I'm glad he's dead as well. However, my tinfoil brain keeps saying that all I have is the governments word he's a terrorist. For all I know he's just a guy fighting an invading army on his home soil.

5. Nope! Totally correct.
I'm glad the bastard is dead. Just SAYING so would be sufficient.

6. No, it probably wouldn't be
Because of all the earlier erroneous kill reports.

7. Suffient to show the pictures to a reliable third party then.
This display is unseemly.

9. You'd be wrong only if
they did the same with the rest of their kills.

A number of innocents died along with Zarqawi yesterday. Let's start with them. Show their dead faces, too, just for perspective.

No, of course not. Wouldn't want to rain on the parade.

10. Because his death really is meaningless
they had to do something to dramatize and overinflate it. Nothing will change in Iraq. I'm sure things will get worse.

13. I'm not crazy about the frame, but
everyone would be screaming conspiracy and doubting he was actually dead if they didn't put out a picture.

15. I totally agree with you.
There should be some respect for the dead whoever they are. I also did not think the joke about the virgins in a former posting funny. I so happens that many religious beliefs seem funny, or
childish to people who do not share them, but that is no reason for making them the but of jokes.
Let's show some respect - I thought that distinguishes us from them?!

we lost that dont you think. since bush stepped in to show us americans how morality and value works,....... we as a nation has lost this i think. we no longer have the moral ground to say this is what distinguishes us, in so many ways. this being one. invading a country. taking there stuff as if we deserve. torturing, the bigotry that has risen its ugly head.... so many ways

18. What's your name about?
I thought it might be an anagram, but only cryptic results:

DU BUY HIS KEG
BYE KID HUG US
BUSH DIKE GUY

By the way, I'm one of those people who think he really was real and really did get killed. But, to each his own.

20. I think it's funny* how much they'll show of this dead asshole...
...but we have to go to court to see the returning bodies of our honored dead soldiers. I hate this fucking piece of shit administration of traitors and their counterparts in the media.

*By "funny" I mean "fucking sick."

Namely the freeper types. They get their rocks off that way.
