Abramoff ex-partner knew of slaying
Report: Abramoff ex-partner knew of slaying

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The person who fatally shot the founder of SunCruz Casinos in 2001 was killed three years ago, a partner in the purchase of the gambling boat company reportedly told authorities.

Adam Kidan, who purchased the casino with lobbyist Jack Abramoff in 2000, told authorities in a 2 1/2-hour interview last month that John Gurino shot the SunCruz founder, Konstantinos "Gus" Boulis, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Friday. The paper did not say how it obtained the taped interview.

Gurino's business partner, a deli owner, was convicted of manslaughter last year after arguing that he killed Gurino in self-defense.

Kidan and Abramoff had previously insisted, through their attorneys, that they knew nothing about Boulis' killing. Three other men are charged with murder in the case.

4. I found the Yahoo report confusing. Haven't followed this story. I
rewrote the content to try to understand this - can anyone fill in gaps or make corrections.

Gus Boulis sells Sun Cruz Casinos (2000)

Sold to Jack Abramoff and Adam Kidan.

Gus Boulis is murdered. (2001)

Three men charged with murder:
Anthony “Big Tony” Moscatiello
Anthony “Little Tony’ Ferrari
James “Podgy” Fiorello

The purchase of Sun Cruz was investigated for fraud,.
(Abramoff and Kidan were sentenced to nearly six years in prison for concocting a fake wire transfer to get bank funding for the purchase). (2006)

Abramoff and Kidan still cooperating with investigators?

What was just announced (June 9) was that Kidan said that Big Tony and Little Tony had told him the details of the murder, but not who did it. (Year ?) He then said that Big Tony told him that the killer was now dead. (2004)

Kidan and Abramoff had orginally said they knew nothing of the Boulis murder.

In last month’s interview, Kidan said he figured out that the killer was John Gurino, a partner in a Deli. Gurino’s partner killed Gurino saying it was in self defense (however, he was convicted of manslaughter - 2005).

Repeating: Kidan and Abramoff had always said (through their lawyers) that they knew nothing about the Boulis murder.

Abramoff attorney still insists the Jack knows nothing about Boulis murder.
