Glenn Beck: Gore's movie is "like Hitler"

On the June 7 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio program, CNN Headline News host Glenn Beck became the latest critic to compare An Inconvenient Truth, a documentary film about former Vice President Al Gore's campaign to raise awareness of global warming, to the Nazis. Beck dismissed many of the conclusions drawn from the documentary, stating, "When you take a little bit of truth and then you mix it with untruth, or your theory, that's where you get people to believe. ... It's like Hitler. Hitler said a little bit of truth, and then he mixed in 'and it's the Jews' fault.' That's where things get a little troublesome, and that's exactly what's happening" in An Inconvenient Truth.

I am hard pressed to find a person who makes my blood boil more than his dumb ass.

Ann Coulter is a close contender, but I kind of see her as a such a joke that its hard for me to be mad without laughing at her.

And it isn't exactly a rule, it is more like an observation. Of course on the other hand, why is anyone listening to anything Beck has to say? As far as I am concerned he is just another theofascist asshat, regardless of godwin and his stupid non-rule.

Otherwise you can stuff that rule- If I'm talking about the Klan, Racists or hard right-wingers, a Nazi comparison is valid.

13. I watched Gore on Jay Leno last night.
I still think he would make a great president. He definitely has a talent for humor which can be a great asset. Humor worked well for Reagan and he was a lot less intelligent than Gore.

I dont buy this new media rule that we cant compare certain things to Nazis.

Granted, Beck's argument is silly, but one CAN use a valid Hitler analogy.

This "rule" supposes that Hitler's views no longer exist or that no one in modern times could share his traits- a dangerous train of thought in my opinion.

30. That's an apt usage. Global Warming is not.
If you're talking about fascism, genocide, extreme cruelty or severe racism, then go ahead with the Hitler comparisons.

a "fascist." Apparently Glenn Beck's research capabilities are as sound as his critical thinking skills - but then, Beck doesn't realize that is how fascism really works. The one thing about rightwing nutcases is that they can't even figure out what fascism is, mostly because it requires them to look into the mirror.
