The Military has to go to great lengths to explain Zarqawi's death
Because of Abu Gharab and Gitmo.

If the Military didn't sponsor torture, they wouldn't need to explain how Zarqawi died.

It's just that simple.

I happen to believe that two 500 lb bombs would do the job and I tend to believe the "official" story. It just happens to be the simplest explanation that makes sense.

So why is the military holding press conferences *after* the announcement? Because NOBODY BELIEVES A THING THEY SAY ANYMORE.

And I believe that is the thoughts that are going through many Americans' minds as they watch these stupid press conferences played over and over again explaining Zarqawi's death and autopsy. They are trying too hard and it looks embarrassingly bad.

2. Trying to paint their way out of the corner.
This is getting to be more like Vietnam every day.

3. I never believe a word these people say, on principle...
Look at the picture of Zarqawi's face that was released. Are you going to tell me with a straight face that he was killed by two heavy explosives dropped on his place of residence? He looks like he had the crap kicked out of him, as opposed to being blown to pieces.

I mean, they "captured" Saddam, after he was captured by Kurdish forces and handed over to the US.
I mean, like how Private Ryan was "rescued" from that hospital.

I'm calling bullshit, because I've been right so far.

4. You're exactly right
It's so simple. They could make it so easy for themselves by just telling the truth.

5. Also because it doesn't lead to any scenario involving troops leaving.
They have to "explain" why it's so good and important.

6. You would be amazed...
at how some guys walk away from something blowing up next to them completely unscathed. A-Z surviving for a while after being blasted out of his hiding place is not as uncommon as you would think.
