What happens now? I find it hard to believe that Fitzgerald has nothing on anyone in this misadministration!

2. I think I'll wait until Fitzgerald makes an official statement
Even if Rove is off the hook for the moment, doesn't mean no one else will be charged. Maybe Fitz is going after a bigger fish and Rove is on the backburner. Especially, if Rove is cooperating, then he could easily have bought himself sometime.

4. That's what I'm thinking.
???Maybe Rove bought himself a deal and we have to wait for someone to leak the details to the media??? I don't know, maybe I'm just hoping and wishing, but I'm thinking that someone else is going to go down. Maybe it'll be undeserved because I STILL think KKKarl had something to do with all this, or maybe it's just because I happen to think Rove is one of the ugliest pigs on the farm.

3. Until Fitz officially states Rove is free to the public,
I'm holding onto my dream. Besides, Rove sure lost a lot of weight over nothing. It ain't over `til the fat lady sings.

5. Silver lining
Heard a good point by Jeff Greenfield on Imus - the Dems need to be able to have more of an agenda than just "they're a bunch of crooks." The public believes ALL politicians are crooked and even if we know that most of the abuse of power is happening on the other side of the aisle, we need to win by showing the public we have better ideas.

6. DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE LUSKIN'S SPIN?????
Why won't fitz office comment?

Read this firedoglake entry:

http://www.firedoglake.com/2006/06/13/dodging-cipa-graymail-bulletsand-other-legal-notes/

<snip>

First, the NYTimes article from David Johnston this morning. (And a hat tip to Holden for the heads up on the article.) If Luskin is coming out and saying publicly that they got a letter from Pat Fitzgerald which says that Rove will not be charged, there are two things that I want to see and know: (1) what does the letter actually say, word for word; and (2) does it say something along the lines of "Please thank Karl for his cooperation in this matter."

<snip>

Here’s what the {NYT} article does say:

In a statement, Mr. Luskin said, "On June 12, 2006, Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald formally advised us that he does not anticipate seeking charges against Karl Rove."

Well, that’s a bit of overhype, frankly. Rove was not the only person that Fitzgerald was looking at in the grand scheme of this investigation. And to spin this as the case being over is laziness on the part of David Johnston — and the media writ large, frankly — who have never dug into this case to realize that the players were larger than the Libby and Rove narrative frame that the corporate media types have conveniently used throughout the investigation. And that the be all and end all of the case was not the ultimate criminal charges, but the exposure of the smarmy underbelly of the Bush Administration and their standard MO of attacking, with a vengeance, anyone who dares to question them — even when those questions are not only appropriate but also expose them in a lie.

8. Sucess is the best revenge. What now, we work to gain back the House and
Senate. For political scum like Rove, that will be his worst nightmare.
