Here’s Coulter from Chapter 1 of Godless: The massive Dickey-Lincoln Dam, a $227 million hydroelectric project proposed on upper St. John River in Maine, was halted by the discovery of the Furbish lousewort, a plant previously believed to be extinct.

1. Reads like plagiarism to me.

Sounds like an exact quote but I'd have to go buy her book and <taking interim shower for saying that> read :puke: it but I'll save myself the headache. :evilgrin:

2. Unless she's explicitly quoting it, yes it is plagiarism.

But if that little bit is the only part of the book in which that happens, I doubt anybody is going to take action against her with that as their basis.

But she's a geek (the original definition, i.e., "the freak in the side show who bites the heads off chickens") and -- as we all know, having watched this freak show of a presidential administration for 5 years -- the standards for geeks are rather a bit lower.
