The Democratic Response to Republicans' Demand For An Apology
should be:

When Republicans apologize for letting an administration lie its way into war, and for saddling the nation with crippling debt and for growing rhe size of government to monstrous proportions and for creating a pervasive "culture of corruption" in Washington...

... then and only then will we apologize to the fat, little bald guy who manipulates Bush's every move behind the scenes.

2. My Take
Don't use this one:
"When Republicans apologize for letting an administration lie its way into war"

Remember the majority of Democrats voted in favor of the IWR, so it's not a good example.

However, I totally agree with your other points.

4. I think that would be a very good statement...
I really think they should say something to that effect. You might want to include the phone jamming that Kenny boy was supposedly involved in.

7. I think that they should take their cue from a compassionate human being
and give them a heartfelt

8. We're not the ones investigating Rove.
Why doesn't he demand an apology from Fitz?

9. Show us the letter, and if there is no reference to cooperation...
Edited on Tue Jun-13-06 11:14 AM by Boo Boo
we'll apologize. Of course, there is nothing to apologize for, but I doubt we'd have to in any case because Luskin is not going to tell us what else is in that letter.

Rove cut a deal. Leopold's story never gave proper due to the possibility that Fitz had not charged Rove, but had instead delivered an ultimatum: cooperate or you will be charged. Take the three day weekend to think it over.

Luskin's statement is revealing. He announces that Rove will not be charged and then characterizes that as proving his innocence. Then he states that he will not be commenting on any other aspect of the ongoing investigation. So the only aspect of Rove's predicament that Luskin will comment on is that Rove will not be charged. Full stop. That's the sum total: my client is not going to be charged. And I won't be saying anything else about the case.

Apologize my ass. The fat bastard got flipped to keep is fat ass out of jail.
