Leopold will be opening a fertilizer business.

3. Well let me put it this way:
He sounded like someone who will be joining the "padded-cell appreciation association" soon.

4. GOOD LORD, what the hell does it take for people to realize Rove...
isn't going to be indicted? I can't have respect for people who are so detached from reality, that in the face of hard evidence, they still think Rove is going to be indicted.

I care about all of you very much, but this is so ridiculous. We can all have different opinions, but there is a point when opinion no longer matters, when something has become fact.

There is no reason for Luskin to lie, none! I don't like these people, but this is getting damned ridiculous.

Get over it. Things like this happen. People do stupid things. This is one of those cases. Move on. Think about reality.

5. Why don't you get over it and ignore all the Rove indictment threads?

8. Why would s/he ignore what s/he's writing?
I just reviewed my hidden threads, and s/he is the OP in several of those.

I tend to get testy when someone tells us to "Get over it".
I could be having a very nice and casual conversation with someone but the minute they tell me to get over something, I snap. I blame the Bushies for that. LOL!:-)

13. Likewise.
And I just LOVE IT when the person who is telling me to "get over it" is not so "over it" himself.

I have 35 threads in my Hidden Threads list. How about you?

15. I am sorry...
I'm just so sick of people destroying their own good name for someone who really doesn't appear interested in helping them. I know you are probably ticked at people like me, but there is a reason we are saying this.

The only people enjoying us making excuses for Leopold are Republicans and Mr. Leopold. This is just another weapon in their arsenal. It's bad enough these people flat out lie, but when something is true they really go for blood. There have already been major papers who have talked about this:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/blog/2006/05/23/BL2006052300414.html

And regular Americans who don't know better read those, and trust all Democrats less. It is wrong, but unfortunately it is true.

6. Rove Probably Engineered All This . . .
Just like with 60 Minutes with Dan Rather. Leopold should have watched "Bush's Brain" closely and gave pause before reporting the scoop.

7. Why?
I'm sorry this sounds like more BS to protect a man who lied to us. I wanted Rove to be indicted too, but it isn't going to happen. If we continue to act like it is we aren't doing anything to make it happen. We are just going to make ourselves look like a bunch of fools.

9. Rove's a bad guy, sure. But,
he isn't some super-villain. Sometimes people on the left fuck up. Sometimes people on the left lie. Sometimes people we think are on the left, are full of shit. Rove isn't behind everything, pulling every string.

18. Huh?
"Rove Probably Engineered All This Just like with 60 Minutes with Dan Rather. Leopold should have watched 'Bush's Brain' closely and gave pause before reporting the scoop."

And here is one of the fundamental problems of echo chamber message forums such as DU. Too many people believe what they want to hear, rather than critically look at factual evidence to decide where the truth is. People on DU got suckered into believing Leopold's story in the same way you apparently believe Rove "Rathered" Dan Rather and drove him from his network news perch. They hoped it was true. It fit their worldview. Therefore, it must be true.

There is NO EVIDENCE Rove did any such thing. There is no evidence Rove engineered Rather's downfall.

This sort of conspiracy theory may be near conventional wisdom here on DU, but there is NO evidence such a thing is true.

Leopold's story was junk. Period. Rove didn't set him up. Leopold either had bad sources or is just an outright liar. I suspect the latter. Either way, he is a lousy reporter with a horrendous track record.

I just don't see how a whole lot more need be said.

10. Bush Issued Rove a Pre-Emptive Pardon and Sealed the Pardon…
…to avoid the political fallout that would accrue from openly pardoning Rove.

The only court that can possible hold any of these people accountable is this one:

12. Why do you say that?
Because I wondered if the interview would change people's point of view on Leopold? It is a major development in this story.

If I called a freeper one more time, I am going to go ballistic. Don't even suggest that again, at least to me.

or a rovarian plant?

I've seen you make these kinds of accusations in a couple/few posts now.
Anyone who doesn't agree with you is the enemy now?

I will be alerting on you when I come across this kind of nonsense from you again.
Oh, and don't ever call me a freeper or a plant or a rove machine cog or I'll paste ya! them's fightin' words, pal.
