The smirking White House rat got away with it. The man who makes the final decision on every action or non-action taken by the insiders of the Bush Crime Family will not be officially indicted in the Valerie Plame affair. Karl Rove is home free. Rove’s mentor, the incredibly corrupt Lee Atwater, must be chortling in Hell. Atwater died a messy death several years ago from brain cancer. On his death bed he pleaded for forgiveness for his successful efforts on behalf of Bush Senior in shredding our political system; reducing it to lies, distortions, deceptions and chaos. The death-bed plea was pathetic and revealed once again the weird religious beliefs – and the deep-seated terror of facing death - of the so-called “Christian” Right: Do anything; any foul crime, any vicious act, any hate-filled maneuver against any individual or group; live like a bandit, a liar, a killer; all that matters is a whiney, cowardly plea for forgiveness as you suck in your last foul breath and the “Lord” will forgive you and take you to Heaven. We’ll discuss Rove’s eventual trip tonight.
