Conyers:Let's Keep Our Eye on the Big Picture

I know today was a disappointing day for many who heard Rove's attorney claim that he had escaped indictment. Although it seems clear that Rove was among those who outed Plame, we are not privy to the testimony that Fitzgerald received.

We didn't get to subpoena witnesses and get them to testify under oath in this case. Grand Jury proceedings are secret. I'll bet that a lot was revealed by Rove in this case that would interest us.

That's why I believe that there needs to be a special committee formed to hear testimony from those in the administration who have appeared to overstep the law in some blatant and audacious fashion.
