This is a response to Clinton voicing his opinion that we stay in Iraq until the situation is 'fixed' (see

Well, I have one thing to say to that. Murtha and Kerry ARE NOT suggesting we LEAVE. They are suggesting we REDEPLOY our soldiers to bases in the area to keep them out of direct harms way, while still providing:
1. Military strike support
2. Training the Iraqi Law Enforcement and Military
3. Protecting Iraq from invasion and civil war
4. Providing Intel and Surveillance
5. Providing Supplies
Instead, if we go with the REPUKE's idiotic plan, our guys will continue to be blown up by IEDs and sniper attacks, and for what reason? It's time for the Iraqi's to STEP UP, but we need to help them up.
Instead of dividing up and siding with the REPUKES ON A RIDICULOUS idea that the other side is suggesting cut and run, why not get EVERYONE IN THE PARTY on the SAME DAMN SHEET.
This is the quintessential problem with the party right now. Half the party buys the other side's B.S., undermining what really needs to be done to help both the Iraqi's and our soldiers. Yesterday here at DU is another good example of that. People jumping to conclusions without knowing any facts and believing the RW SPIN MACHINE, going so far as to believe those who have been proven in the past to baselessly attack members of the party.
We need to have the same level (or better) of unity that the Republicans have enjoyed for years. Why can we not get organized on the message?
