What we are seeing: On the job training of an incompetent frat boy...
I've been trying hard to process the goings on since the unelection of you know who. It never makes sense, but the recent weeks have been particularly hard to swallow, as the media and the right seems to pull out all stops to put lipstick on this pig. Then it hit me....

We've seen nothing more than a long period of on the job training for someone who has no skills for, was never expected to fulfill, the presidency. If this was going on in any company that any of us work for, the person would have been tossed out quick as a wink. But what we have instead is an instrument for the various factions on the right to move the country in the directions that they seek - and we've all talked about those directions here ad infinitum.

Failure begets failure....a past of incompetence only foretells more incompetence. Who here is most to blame - the media for propping up this idiot - or getting paid handsomely to do so - or being threatened to do so - or the people who put him in office, who are either too stupid to realize what is going on, or too selfish to care?

1. Very true.
I have always thought that it was supposed to be Jeb in the WH right now, but it didn't work out and they had to go with Dubya instead, since he was a Governor at the right time. I honestly think * was forced on them (and by them I mean the neocons et al who wanted to take over the government). They needed their figurehead and they got someone who was completely wrong for it. So, they slapped a cowboy hat on him and hoped it was enough, along with their nasty voting tricks and SCOTUS' betrayal of the American people, to get them into the WH. Since then, they have been trying to make this dimwitted, mean, petty little man into at least being able to pull off a photo-op or two.

I think the corporate media is culpable like someone who witnesses a crime and cheers on the criminal. Yeah, maybe the person actually doing the crime is more to blame, but they are morally culpable because they helped it. They are the accomplice, witting or not, and thus Bushco's crimes become theirs, at least morally.

2. you are right and they're ALL to blame. Meanwhile, we have to clean up
Bubble Boy's mess for the rest of our lives and at least the next 50 years if not 100.
