Celebrate Flag Day by defending free speech
It's Flag Day in the U.S. and for the first time since prohibition our Congress is on the verge of passing a constitutional amendment that would limit individual liberties rather than advance them. While the House of Representatives has traditionally passed such legislation, the Senate has always voted against it. However as of today the Senate is just 1 vote away from passing this amendment. While no one likes to see the symbol of our country desecrated, what good is that symbol if the very ideas it represents are corrupted? The Council for Secular Humanism has made it easy to e-mail your Senators to let them know you oppose limiting free expression. Take action today.

In celebration I’m gonna turn on the History Channel, and count the flags on one of those old clips of the Nuremberg Rally. Then I'm going to remind myself, that as it is regarding religion, politics and money grubbing; that patriotism to excess becomes a problem when used as a sanctuary.

2. Well, that's good but...
Why not write or call your Senators too? It couldn't hurt.
