The Fix is in 2006: Bush predicts Rebublicans win.

Gee, what a surprise that a few months from now, the Republican will still control the House and Senate as predicted by the Emperor, because as we all know, they control the key states voting machinery and election peronel.

As Stalin once said, "Its not who has the most votes, but who counts them."

And we know that with Diebold, and Republican control of the election watchdogs, they can 'fix' any election they want, anytime they want.

"(AP) President Bush predicted on Wednesday that Republicans will maintain majority control of the House and Senate this November despite polls showing voters favor putting Democrats in charge.

"I believe we're going to hold the House and the Senate because our philosophy is one that is forward-looking and optimistic and has worked," Bush told reporters at a White House news conference.

Last week, the Associated Press-Ipsos poll found that only 24 percent of those surveyed approve of the way the Republican-controlled Congress is doing its job. Fifty-two percent said they want Democrats to capture control of Congress in November, about the same as last month's survey.

Bush said that in 2004 he faced questions on whether he could win re-election despite unfavorable numbers. This year, he contended, is no different.

"The elections are a long way off," the president said nearly five months out. "What's going to matter is who's got the plan that will enable us to succeed in Iraq and keep the economy growing."

He criticized some in the Democratic Party for calling for a withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq and offered his oft-repeated line that Democrats want to raise taxes."

4. how about explaining to us why we are in Iraq, for starters
I've been saying this all along: the fix is in.

And the Democrats remain silent.

We are truly fucked.

5. Yeah, all we'd be doing is making the tax system fairer
Our positions are too well thought out enough and reasonable to need soundbytes and catch-phrases, but I think we need to play their game. Call our position "fair taxation."

And I am quite scared about what they might try to pull this fall..

3. Unless we ensure the integrity of our elections and/or produce evidence
of fraud in a timely manner (i.e. not 2 years after the fact with an article in RS), unfortunately, he's probably right.

8. Why cant some Democratic Leader stand up and say
"The Democrats will win the House and Senate" because of the incompetence and the corruption of the Republicans. Then back that statement up with the proof that is certainly there.

7. My only hope is that they get really greedy and slopy,

so much so that they leave real evidence, that not even the corporate media can ignore.

maybe a hacked up election boxes that puts a skull and bones when you hit that VOTE button pops up on the screen.
