Poll - Can Dem nominee Jim Webb beat George Allen for the U.S. Senate?
This is the same Virginian-Pilot that had an editorial comparing MoveOn to Michael Moore lefty wackos - supporting Cox Cable company's decision to pull ads based on a request from the Repuke candidate - who Cox news contributed to BTW...

http://www.hamptonroads.com/pilotonline/

2/3 down and on the right - so far the vote is 35.55% he can beat Allen, 60.56% say the scumbag Allen will win.

17. A group of us protested in the rain at city center today
It was a good turn out given the heavy rain and the short notice. The signs were great: Cox caught red-handed. However, the news media did not come to cover the event. We figured that they did not want to get their hair wet!

25. They endorsed Kerry before the editors changed
The Pilot had some major staff changes not too long after the 2004 election. It had definitely been a little more to the left of center before. I think they're trying to be more neutral now, but I tend to see them a little right of center now. They added a right wing syndicated political cartoonist (Ramirez) who keeps getting his stuff totally wrong (for instance: they ran a cartoon about the Iran gov't forcing non Muslims to wear badges almost a week after the story was debunked). The op-ed pieces tend to lean about 75% Republican now too. The little one word title / one paragraph opinions they run at the bottom of the editorial page run at least 75% puke too.
