Marine says song about killing Iraqis was only a joke
Those Marines have a heck of a sense of humor, though not the kind that wins hearts and minds. It should be obvious to everyone by now that that was never part of the mission.

*******************

A Marine Corps corporal seen in a video singing about killing members of an Iraqi family says the song was only a joke and not tied in any way to allegations that Marines killed as many as two dozen unarmed civilians in Haditha last year.

“It’s a song that I made up and it was nothing more than something supposed to be funny, based off a catchy line of a movie,” Cpl. Joshua Belile told The Daily News of Jacksonville.

“I apologize for any feelings that may have been hurt in the Muslim community. This song was written in good humor and not aimed at any party, foreign or domestic.”

1. Gee. I wonder how humorous it would have appeared if the situation was
reversed, and it was Iraqis singing a really "funny" song about killing Americans. What a riot that would have been. (And I do mean RIOT!!)

What a totally shitty excuse... "It was only a 'joke' when we sang that song about killing all those Iraqi people."
Jeez. Some people just have no sense of humor at all. :sarcasm:

3. A "funny" song about 9-11 would be grounds for a nuke-fest
in most Americans' minds.

When the tables are turned, it's difficult for Americans to register empathy, for whatever reason.

4. That Marine wouldn't have make up such a ditty if
he hadn't thought it would be widely accepted among his Corps peers.

But as anyone living under * should realize Propaganda and interpretation of "facts" are more important than the "fact" itself...
