Difference between Jean Schmidt and Karl Rove re: slandering Vets?
Jean Schmidt: 11/18/05
"...cowards cut and run, Marines never do." (http://www.dccc.org/stakeholder/archives/003927.html)

Karl Rove: 6/12/06
"They are profoundly wrong ... Like too many Democrats, it strikes me that they are ready to give the green light to go to war, but when it gets tough, they fall back on that party's old platform of cutting and running. They may be with you for the first few bullets but they won't be there for the last tough battles." (http://www.mydd.com/story/2006/6/13/123457/650)

If Jean Schmidt was forced to apologize on the House floor for her disgraceful remarks, doesn't Rove owe every Democrat who has put their life on the line by honorably serving in our military-- something which the privileged members of the B*Sh Admin. Chickenhawk Brigade have AVOIDED like a case of clap-- an APOLOGY? Where the f*ck IS IT?

Dems ought to DEMAND Rove apologize for this slur against our Serviccmen/women, NOW. The Swiftboating of our whole Party has begun. We need a UNITED VOICE to expose and condemn this tactic. Dems need to put together their talking points and put the Switboating GOP on the defense. They are starting early and nasty-- but what did we expect? We MUST respond immediately, as did Kerry, the following day.

I loved his response, on behalf of his spokesman, David Wade:

Kerry spokesman: 6/13/06 "The closest Karl Rove ever came to combat was these last months spent worrying his cellmates might rough him up in prison. This porcine political operative can't cut and run from the truth any longer."

Wade continued: "When it came to Iraq, this Administration chose to cut and run from sound intelligence and good diplomacy, cut and run from the best military advice, cut and run from their responsibility to give our troops body armor, and in November Americans will cut and run from this Republican Congress."

2. Remember all the fuss that Repukes made when "draft dodger" Clinton
was running the military? How he wouldn't have any idea what to do because he had no experience? How Bob Dole ran on the fact that he had his ass blown off (literally) in WWII?

The Republican party is the party of the short-term, um, i forget . . .
