CSPAN - Waxman - We owe more to our troops than slapping bumper stickers on our cars. We owe more to the families with people in iraq. The White House and Congress have failed our troops, the iraqi’s and families of troops. It is shameful.

1. Well hell, now Waxman's gone and done it. The repubs
in Washington, and throughout the country for that matter, think all they need is a googy magnetic ribbon (available in a variety of colors) to prove their patriotism and to help win the 'war' in Iraq. Now he's gone and popped that bubble.

2. Spoilsport. What does he want us to do?
Waste money giving them and their families more money or giving decent medical care to returning vets?

Americans find it degrading to accept help from Big Government. Why else do you think we're the only industrial (or post-industrial) nation in the world with no national health plan?

No, slapping a bumper sticker, or better yet a yellow ribbon magnet, on the family gas-guzzler is the perfect gesture.

It's cheap and painless, far better than forking out cash through higher taxes or --God forbid-- sending a loved one off to "serve" in an immoral war.

BRING THE TROOPS HOME -- NOW!
