Cost to the U.S. for allowing Bush to be President: Priceless.

There are some things money can't buy, The U.S. government isn't one of them.

Limiting your rights and protecting big businesses and special interest groups, that's the American way.

~~~~~~~
The new law, which boosts fines to as much as $325,000 per violation from $32,500, could help congressional Republicans woo conservatives in a tough election year as they have faced ebbing support from key core constituencies.
The Christian Coalition had placed legislation to increase the fines as the No. 5 item on its 2006 legislative agenda. The new law also caps any continuing violations from an incident at $3 million
10. A few years ago a female squirrel
whom we name Chi Chi would come to the pepper tree in the condo beside our duplex and hang out. A male squirrel knocked her out of the tree and we chased him away. She would come visit us, come into the house for food and such. For a while she didn't show up and one morning she brought her babies over, one had a hurt front arm and all of them played in the backyard while we lounged around. The squirrels would nibble at my daughters little toes because they thought they were peanuts. It was a very good experience with those little squirrels. One day Chi Chi had a lot to eat and settled her stomach on a branch of the pepper tree and dozed off. She was so fat she fell out and we laughed so much she actually seemed to get embarrased. She didn't get hurt, just fell in some soft stuff underneath and not far from the branch. Animals are so much aware then "experts" realize.
11. I loved feeding the squirrels in Denver
and in Central Park.
They are so funny - they recognize people, get quite social (and bold), and they do bring their young'uns to show them how to get a free lunch from us gullible googooing humans. They also get quite fat after a while, and even throw little temper tantrums if you run out of peanuts before they're ready.
I've had one run up and grab the empty bag out of my hand and tear it apart chittering and snapping his tail at me the whole time.
12. That's cute. What smart animals they are!
I like how they rumage through back packs up there at Nevada Falls in Yosemite National Park. They litterly hop in and start throwing other stuff out looking for snacks, even when the hikers are right there beside their packs.
