I just made a contribution to TruthOut and boy do I feel good about it.

Last time I looked---TruthOut is on the side of the progressive community and in my opinion we need more sites like TruthOut.

What--- I'm going to stop contributing to this great site because of one incident? Now that would be pretty petty ya think?

Have we finally surrendered our label to them? I'm not ashamed to be a liberal - even if Ann Coulter does everything in her power to put liberals down. And I won't surrender that term to some politically correct, less loaded adjective. You can keep the 'progressive' label.

I haven't taken part in any of the flamefests around here, but have simply read them, and in the process, been shaking my head over the friendships eating themselves and the lack of coherency. My only real difficulty with the entire matter was not with them being wrong to release a dubious story, but with the shitty response from one of their editors. I don't like being insulted and will not tolerate it from anyone. TO is another matter altogether, as TO is not the editor and the editor is not TO.
