Michigan Cop Gets "A" for Stupidity

A West Bloomfield Township, Michigan, police officer left a submachine gun in his unmarked vehicle while he attended a Detroit Tigers game. When he returned to the vehicle after the game, the gun was gone.

I saw this very thing happen in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1989.

I guess the statute is passed.....so I'll talk about it.

I was a skate punk and my fellow skaters saw a SWAT van park and go into the Arby's across the street. A few of the Skaters wandered up to the Swat van and found it unlocked. The Skaters grabbed a Laser-sighted shotgun and several Bullet-proof vests. When the cops came out of Arby's they didn't even look in the back of the Van and just drove away.

The thing is, if the police hadn't taken to randomly beating up skaters no one would have wandered up to the van in the first place.
