but I also hate to know that anyone had to suffer that kind of pain. The suicide of a parent has to make the child wonder about his/her own value as a human being...I mean...if a person, as a child was not important enough to make the parent choose to live just to care for the child, then that child has to grow up overcompensating in some way for his own feelings of low self-esteem.

On edit: Oh, now I see. He was a grown man (in years) when his mom died. I'm sure he still secretly wonders if he could have done more or done something that would have prevented her act.
