The treasure of Zarqawi documents has completely changed the calculus
Well it looks like many of us were completely off base in calling for a withdrawal from Iraq. Victory seems to be just around the corner. Apparently Zarqawi was kind enough to leave on his laptop, a series of documents that support these facts:

The group is now in serious trouble

Al Q in Iraq is now at a breaking point - beginning of the end

Road map of all the terrorists in Iraq

A plan to conduct an attack on US soil

I think it was great timing that these documents came out on the day of the debate in teh house. You know, the one where coward Dems want to cut and run while brave republicans want to defeat terrorism around the world.

My question is this - how fucking stupid do these idiots think we are? Is this aimed at the staunch 30%? Will this flight ever get out of the twilight zone?

BTW if anyone wants to post a message complaining of rampant conspiracy theories.....

1. Apparently they think we are as stupid as the 30%, I just don't.........
....buy the timing and all. If they indeed have a laptop and documents then they have had them for quite some time.

2. before I got to your last line, I was just about to say:
be careful, that's the stuff that "conspiracy theories" are made of.
better to just buy the bull than be accused of *gasp* believing in "conspiracies." of COURSE it happened just.like.they.said.
hasn't it always?? :eyes:

3. Well if Zarqawi survived 500-pound bombs and tons of rubble
Edited on Thu Jun-15-06 06:39 PM by rocknation
why shouldn't his laptop and documents have, too? After all, a terrorist's passport survived the WTC attack in one piece, remember?

4. I particularly like the part about...
the disk that was found in his pants that contained a three page paper about how the U.S. policy in Iraq is working.

Somebody at the Pentagon has been watching too many Peter Sellers movies.

They must be sitting around saying, let's come up with a lie so outrageous, they'll have to believe it!

Probably he's a master with spreadsheets and powerpoint, internet spoofing
and firewalls. Bet he was endowed with a massive satellite hacking substation
with a huge rack of SGI big iron, water cooled super servers for breaking
CIA codes.

13. Zarqawi was always a minor figure in reality, anyway
Edited on Thu Jun-15-06 06:31 PM by daleo
The really important figures behind the anti-U.S. resistance are the guerrilla fighters that Hussein trained, according to what I have read. Zarqawi was a sideshow.

This might explain why Hussein is still alive.

21. I heard they found the disk in his pocket.
I thought that was convenient.

What I don't get is the bit about Al qaida wanting the US to attack Iran.

Has Bushco possibly, finally noticed that we don't have the army to do it?

27. Look on the bright side: this is FOR the 30% - to keep them from becoming
20%. And it doesn't look like it's going to work on them for very long either.

The bright side is that they HAVE to prop up their own dim base.
