1. Yep!
That's the guy that talked about how important the Ten Commandments were, they named like...what...three of them? Doofus.

I'm as far from a Christian as you can be now, and even I can name about 8 of them! :)

Here I go!
Thou shalt not put any other God before me.
Honor thy Sabbath.
Do not make graven idols.
Thou shalt not kill.
Thou shalt not steal.
Thou shalt not covet.
Don't commit adultery.

What's the other one I usually forget, ahhhh. Honor thy mother and father!

Don't take the Lord's name in vain?

Heck that's 9! I'm not sure what the last one is. I think I forget the one about not taking the Lord's name in vain last night :)

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's goods.

Coveting is one of the foundations of the marketplace. Gotta have what thy neighbor has!

21. Don't lie or give false witness.
It's often left out in our heads, since it's so like coveting.

It cracked my hubby and me up (we even high-fived each other) that he couldn't name them. That's what they should all get asked--I'd bet most can't.

You would think that all the Ten Commandment people would have learned by now to memorize The Ten Commandments.

It's like that Repuke layer on Free Republic who is running for congress and doesn't know what The Eighth Amendment is.

This makes 3 Georgia Republicans that Steven has had on, and he's made both Diebold Bushbots looks REALLY stupid (mine was the other GA-11th). They both are completely worthless, Rubber-stamp idiots.

47. Is there a list of Diebold Republicans?
I would love to see a list of voting districts using Diebold machines along with the results of those elections. Evidently these things are programmed to "elect" Republicans. I think any Republican elected on these cheat machines should be referred to, often and always, as "Diebold Republican John Smith" or whatever. This phrase needs to enter the language as soon as possible.

53. That's easy, ALL of Georgia is Diebold Country. They let us...
...have a few Democrats in districts were they thought the people would probably riot if they tried to steal those seats.

Here's a link to the Washington Post report: <http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/elections/2004/ga/>

I'm not sure how they let Max Burns lose, they must have been too focused on stealing the election for Bush and the State House and Senate in 2004.

What bothers me is, we had 6 un-opposed House races last time, 4 of them ReThugs.

Personally, I always refer to all the ReThugs as "Diebold Selected..."

20. That's how the Dems should approach the elections, the ads
should just show Republicans, well, being Republicans.

I caught a glimpse last night of C-Span showing Rep. Steve King (Iowa, I think), he was saying who could image a war where the enemy would use IED's? suicide bombers, etc. I was like, Hello? Is there anybody in there? Clue: Israeli/ Palestinian conflict. King's supporters should be so embarrassed.

If the Dem's were smart, they would just show these bozo's being bozo's! We couldn't be called negative, because, well, it would be these nut bags saying stupid stuff!

It would be the cheapest ad campaign imaginable!

I actually think that may be the strategy, if you give them enough rope, they'll hang themselves. That strategy has been effective to date, let's work on ads for the fall! It should be fun, just reviewing the footage, and oh, Mr. Melhman (Milkman, per spell check, too funny to ignore) gave us a good one the other night.

Westmoreland allegedly represents a neighboring district; he's my sister-in-law's congressthingie, and she called to insist that we watch. I was flabbergasted that this late in 2006 there are still pols whose staffs can't prep them for a session with Colbert.

What a maroon. He couldn't summon any enthusiasm for anyting he's done since taking office, and the most he could say about the Commandments was that they "isn't a bad thing." The deer-in-the-headlights look on his face was priceless. Poor fellow realized that something was going wrong, but just wasn't equipped to identify it.

"So, with all of this in mind, I give you my revised list of the two commandments:

Thou shalt always be honest and faithful to the provider of thy nookie.

&

Thou shalt try real hard not to kill anyone, unless of course they pray to a different invisible man than you.

Two is all you need; Moses could have carried them down the hill in his fuckin' pocket. I wouldn't mind those folks in Alabama posting them on the courthouse wall, as long as they provided one additional commandment:

Thou shalt keep thy religion to thyself."
