Democrats - speak up now!
It's time. Time for you to stand up for what you believe in. It's time for you to stop trying to please everyone, because as long as you do that, you please no one. It's time to stop THINKING about winning elections, and JUST WIN THEM.

Look at all the passion you have here. Look at this base of 90,000+ Americans here on this board alone. Use us. Each one of us is ready to do what it takes to support you. Each one of us is crying out, begging you to stand up, say what you believe in, piss off whomever you have to piss off, but DO THE RIGHT THING. Show no fear. Stop trying to be so politically correct, and JUST BE CORRECT. We love you Feingold, Gore, Kerry, Edwards, Boxer, Kennedy - those of you who are speaking up - but you can't really be the only ones, can you? Every time you speak up for us, we cheer you, we rally, we're inspired, and we can't wait to hear more from you. But we need ALL of you, just as you need us. You can't turn your backs on your base. We're not just words on a computer screen, we are real Americans, patriots through and through, and our activism doesn't stop here.

The country wants change. Right here, right now, we are all starving for change. On the left, on the right, in the middle, the whole country is sick of the nonsense going on now. If you have a message, the time has now come for you to speak it. It's time for you to stand up, say it loud and clear. Give America your message of hope. And never let yourselves be silenced. The only risk you take is in doing nothing and remaining silent. It's not enough to be silent while the Republicans hang themselves. This nation needs to hear from you, we need to hear you loud and clear, and we need to hear you NOW.

The Republicans and their media whores make it their mission, every single day, to rob us of our hope. Without hope, we are divided, conquered, easy to beat because we're already beaten. And every day that goes by that you say nothing and do nothing robs us of more hope. As you continue your pandering, our America is sliding into a fascist state, where people are now guilty before proven innocent, and suspicion, hatred, and bigotry are the order of the day. While we want to bring back our troops, protect the Constitution, heal the earth, stimulate the economy, and work for a living, the Republicans and their media whores spew hatred and divide us over issues such as flag burning, abortion, and gay marriage. Why are we so divided over issues that all come down to our basic human rights? Isn't it more important that we protect what our flag stands for, even if that very flag gives us the right to burn it or marry who we love? Isn't it more important that we protect our Constitution? Before the Republicans or the Supreme Court anoint King George dictator over the former USA? Isn't it time Americans got a nice history lesson - all about just what it is that our Constitution stands for? Isn't it time for our fellow Americans to wake up and see that our rights and our country are being stolen from us?

And all while you say nothing.

You know what's right. We KNOW you know what's right. That's why you're in office. That's why you're running again. So why act like a bunch of opportunists? Stop your pandering and find your courage. You know what got Bush such good ratings in the beginning? People admired that he stood up for what he believed in and saw him as a strong leader. We know it was fake, just for show. But your constant meandering back and forth to try to please everyone just makes you look weak. And we know that you have more conviction in your little fingers than he's got anywhere in his whole soul. It's time for America to see YOUR conviction, hear what YOU stand for - for soon they'll realize that it's Democrats who share their values, that it's Democrats who will fight for them. If only you will fight.

Listen up, we voted for you. You're where you are because of us. The PEOPLE. And we're ready to rally for you now, if you just take the lead we ELECTED you to take. We elected you to speak for us. SO SPEAK! Rally us! Inspire us! Ignore what the talking heads say, and just speak from your hearts. AMERICA WILL LISTEN.

1. Speaking out, without demanding Impeachment, won't get them far

Until they go after Bush for nuking the Constitution and demand Impeachment they will continue to sound like mealy-mouthed morons and will fail to engage Americans across the political spectrum who are desperate for REAL strong and decisive leadership.

As long as the Unitary Authoritarian Executive occupies the White House, our laws aren't worth the paper they are printed on. Unless they acknowledge that NO progress can be made until we have restored constitutional government and sworn in a legitimate executive, speaking out about the direction they want to take the nation is a sham.

If they "speak out" and go after Bush for destroying every constitutional principle we hold dear and turning America into the nation of torture and criminal war, but remain silent on Impeachment, they are just whining.

They can keep whining or do something. Duty or complicity.

IMPEACH BUSH" is a message of hope and a declaration of power

3. Well said
That's just one thing the Dems need to stand up and speak up about. Bush and the republicans have betrayed this country. Impeachment MUST happen.

2. Re:
Time for you to stand up for what you believe in.

I'm not as sure anymore about what I believe in.

The country wants change. Right here, right now, we are all starving for change. On the left, on the right, in the middle, the whole country is sick of the nonsense going on now.

I'm cynical about that point. There's something still wrong when * and Rove can go around without any penalty or widespread criticism.

Without hope, we are divided, conquered, easy to beat because we're already beaten. And every day that goes by that you say nothing and do nothing robs us of more hope.

I've had hope in the American people in the past. Almost every time, they've let me down. I dunno...

5. I Understand How You Feel
I'm sick of it, too. But it just means that we have to fight even harder. It's difficult, & I get depressed a lot, but what else can I do but fight? I don't want those neocon assholes to completely destroy my country.

6. Thanks for understanding
This time last night, I was pretty sure about being a Democrat. Tonight, I'm not.

8. Don't lose hope
Don't lose hope because the Democrats are silent or because the Republicans have one decent week, according to the talking heads. It can't last for them. Be sure about being a Democrat because of what YOU believe in. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. Chin up, friend - it will get better. :)

4. We Lack Hope
This is why the people of this country are so angry & screaming at each other. President Bush never gives us any hope at all. Everything is doom & gloom. I'm sick of it. I want a President who will give us our hopes & dreams back. I hate the America we live in today. It's a horrible & depressing place. Stop giving in to the forces of darkness, Democratic leadership! Stand up for yourselves, & stand up for us!

7. Exactly!
If this were a football game, you could say we have the ball now. Time for Dems to go on the offensive and score that touchdown that wins the game.

We're so busy fighting the fires that the Republicans start, that we're not speaking up with our own message. It's time to stop being on the defense, and give it everything we've got. We can start the fire. And we can keep fueling it, and the Republicans can't stop us. They don't know how. They don't have the optimism or the hope - they just have the hatred.

I think most of this country is sick of the hatred. Sick of nothing getting done in Congress, while jobs disappear, while gas prices go up, cost of living is beyond most of our means.

This is the perfect time for Dems to get their act together and rally us - not just Dems, but all Americans. The time has come for leadership.
