Congressional Republicans tie their fortunes to Bush's star...
With their decision to stand behind the status quo in Iraq, with their "stay the course" resolution, the Republicans - wittingly or not - have tied their fortunes to Iraq and their president. That may turn out to be a decision they regret. Granted, they were on a high after their President sneaked into Baghdad after the killing of Zarqawi. This time, he did not take a turkey with him. However, he may have brought a turkey back.

Although some senior Repubs advised against proposing a resolution, the majority were just too caught up in the pandemonium and frenzy to listen. It may come back to haunt them. In their ten-hour debate, they were not very convincing in their arguments. In fact, they may have lost support.

2. Do the people expect there to be "hell to pay" ?
And should the Democrats pursue the people's wishes?

Screw the soft glove bullshit.....

The Dems don't even have to play the Neocon lying and cheating game game....

The Dems just have to pursue the law.....I have been thinking about the fall of Al Capone....he didn't go to jail because of all of the many laws he broke...he went to jail because of Tax Evasion....it will be these type of laws that the Dems can pursue....this administration has broken over 750 laws....started an illegal war....committed Treason against this country...

Honestly I think that the Dems and anyone that wants to join them must make an example out of this administration and this Repug Congress...to prevent this from ever happening again....

6. IMO, Zarqawi was on ice for just the right amount of time.
The choreography is just too perfect. Just too Rovian. Just like Rove's Rovian slip from the noose. God, how the whole business smells!

7. What this is...
It is the last desperate push-back. After this, they have shot their wad, in their minds.

Don't nobody tell them they already shot that wad. ;-)

8. And you know they all know it, too.
They all know they're married to the guy. I'm willing to bet they're having trouble falling asleep these days....as they lay in bed, looking up at the ceiling.....thinking about Bush.

The fool. MY GOD, where did they find that Clown? Oh my God, if he weren't so stupid.....people are disgusted with this Court Jester. Every time they drag his sorry ass out in front of the cameras, we all cringe.

OH, like in Baghdad yesterday....OMG...he sounded like such an idiot. Said he was a High Profile Target, Iraq was a very dangerous place, but he's optimistic? Jesus, he embarrasses us every time he opens his mouth.

But it's too late for that now....we've just got to save our skin. Because if the Dems take the House, we're going to the BIG HOUSE....OMG....more adrenaline churning in the stomach....
