Democracy in Iraq is Important? Why Did Bush Piss-away the Last 4 Years?
Once again we are told to stay the course; democracy in Iraq is important for out security. If this so, if our Leader truly believes that; then why was there no plan in place for post-war Iraq? Wait a moment, there was a plan, as a matter of fact, there were several plans. Bush, Chenny and Rumesfeld made a significant and deadly decision to scrape all those plans. They were not interested in nation building, the plan was to defeat Saddam and get out. But a funny thing happened, they broke the pottery and they owned it, owned it and all the deaths of our young men since Bush made the “Mission Accomplished” statement.

Bottom-line, it was only after Bush et al was shown to be a liar by the absence of WMDs that the mission changed to nation building. Of course it was much to late in the day to develop a workable plan. So now we are stuck in a killing and maiming war. Stay the course? What course Bush and the Republicans still do not have a plan. What they want us to continue is to continue to wake up each day and hope that Iraq is a democracy. Wishing and hoping isn’t gonna cut the mustard. It just means more casket covered coffins that Bush hopes the nation doesn’t get to see.

They are NOT destined to be DEMOCRATIC.

Sure, it breaks my heart but I do NOT share their culture.

You can NOT force DEMOCRACY though a Military Occupation.

It's time to allow the Iraqis to sort out this mess for themselves.

However, I'm afraid that we will only leave - when we are FORCED out.
