The Republican Party is a Party in Denial
They refuse to accept the fact that they were lied to and deceived about the invasion of Iraq. They still believe there were weapons of mass destruction. They still believe Saddam Hussein was an "imminent threat" to our nation. They march hand in hand to the mantra of their incompetent and arrogant leader, George W Bush. Even as the Shia have taken control of what government there is in Iraq, the Republicans continue to preach that they have a "democracy". They don't have a "democracy". They have the beginnings of a dictatorial theocracy. Also, the Republicans cannot accept the fact that matters are much worse now than when we invaded the country but they see victory just around the corner. They demand that we "stay the course". If it were only a river...

1. Repubs...
repubs are either Rich, Corrupt or Stupid. It's usually one of the three.

They either support their party because it favors them as rich folk. Otherwise, they too lead corrupt lives, so the party mirrors them. Or else they're just stupid enough to believe all the lies spewed by the repubs, whether it be the "war on terror," gays, abortion, economy, etc.

2. They aren't in denial at all.
They know the war was based on lies. They know the situation in Iraq. They continue to lie and deceive because it works for them politically.

It is the SHEEPLE who are in denial, not the Repugs. They know exactly what they are doing and how war helps them during elections.
