5. Doesn't a roll indicate contiguous progress?

I mean, wouldn't he have to increase his poll numbers in consecutive polls to be "on a roll"? If a sports team loses their first five games of the season, and then they win their sixth, are they "on a roll"? Seriously, that's either some pathetic shilling, or just another example of how grossly uneducated in basic English most newspeople are.

These are the Rasmussen figures for the month of June. I think Rasmussen polls rank him higher than he actually is, but they do show a trend and the "uptick" shown here is within the margin of error.
