The Vice President's role in an Army contract for Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root is raising eyebrows.
Judicial watch has its hands on e-mails suggesting the Army Corps of Engineers may have lied about the Vice-President's role in the Halliburton contract. Kellogg Brown and Root was handed the multi-billion dollar no-bid contract in 2003.
Now the watchdog wants to know what involvement Cheney's office had. But two contradicting e-mails are putting a wrinkle in the system.
President of Judicial Watch, Tom Fitton, says the Army is sending mixed messages. "You cannot have coordination with the Vice President's office, at the same time saying that the Vice President's office had no involvement," explains Fitton.
